The company values innovation, sustainability, and a strong commitment to conscious fashion.Role Description The Merchandising Intern role is a for credit, on-site position based in New York, NY. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with product assortment planning, organizing inventory, and helping prepare collections for photoshoots. The intern will support visual merchandising efforts and contribute to trend research with a focus on sustainable fashion and upcycling ideas. This role offers hands-on experience in merchandising within a purpose-driven fashion startup.QualificationsFoundational understanding of merchandising principles, including product assortment, inventory organization, and basic retail math.Strong interest in sustainable fashion, upcycling, and emerging trends within the fashion and textile industries.Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic data management tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) to track inventory and product performance.Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing samples, product information, and visual displays.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, marketing, and production teams on-site.Ability to work reliably in New York, NY, including time management and self-direction in a fast-paced environment a minimum of 1-2 times per week.
