WE’RE HIRING – MERCHANT ACQUISITION MANAGERLocation: Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaClient: Banking ClientExperience: 4–15 YearsIMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYINGOnly candidates with proven experience in Merchant Acquisition / Merchant Acquiring are eligible to apply.Candidates who have worked directly with banks or have worked with a bank as a client/customer are only encouraged to apply.Candidates with experience only in non-banking organizations are not eligible.Candidates must be willing to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.Experience working with FIS products will be an added advantage.Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Merchant Acquisition Manager with strong expertise in the Banking, Payments, and Merchant Acquiring domain.The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing merchant acquisition activities, merchant onboarding, acquiring operations, payment processing, merchant relationships, and business requirements within a banking environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee merchant acquisition and onboarding activities.Drive merchant acquisition strategies and identify opportunities to expand the merchant portfolio.Manage the complete merchant lifecycle, from onboarding through activation and ongoing relationship management.Work closely with banking, payment, operations, technology, and business teams to ensure smooth merchant onboarding and service delivery.Understand and manage merchant requirements, commercial terms, pricing, fees, and settlement processes.Monitor merchant performance, transaction activities, and operational issues.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve merchant-related issues efficiently.Support payment processing, settlement, reconciliation, and transaction-related activities.Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance merchant acquisition and onboarding processes.Prepare business requirements, process documentation, reports, and RCA where required.Support UAT, business validation, product enhancements, and implementation activities.Ensure processes align with banking policies, payment standards, and compliance requirements.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and banking teams.Required Skills & Experience4–15 years of experience in Merchant Acquisition / Merchant Acquiring / Merchant Management.Mandatory experience in the Banking or Payments industry.Experience working directly with banks or working with banks as clients is mandatory.Strong understanding of:Merchant AcquisitionMerchant OnboardingMerchant Lifecycle ManagementPayment ProcessingMerchant SettlementTransaction LifecycleMerchant Pricing and Fee StructuresReconciliation and SettlementStrong understanding of card payments and acquiring processes.Excellent stakeholder and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and business priorities.Experience working with cross-functional banking and technology teams.Preferred SkillsExperience with FIS products is an added advantage.Knowledge of Visa and Mastercard payment processing.Familiarity with ISO 8583 message formats.Understanding of POS, payment gateways, and acquiring systems.Knowledge of reconciliation, chargebacks, and dispute management.Understanding of PCI-DSS and payment security concepts.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Experience with Jira or similar business/project management tools.RelocationThis position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
