WE’RE HIRING – MERCHANT ACQUISITION SPECIALISTLocation: Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaClient: Banking ClientExperience: 4–15 YearsIMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYINGOnly candidates with hands-on experience in Merchant Acquisition / Merchant Acquiring are eligible to apply.Candidates who have worked directly with banks or have worked for a bank as a client/customer are only encouraged to apply.Candidates must be willing to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.Experience working with FIS products will be an added advantage.Job OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Merchant Acquisition Specialist with a strong background in the Banking & Payments domain.The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in merchant acquiring, merchant onboarding, payment processing, and banking applications, along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.ResponsibilitiesSupport and manage merchant onboarding and merchant lifecycle processes.Analyze merchant acquisition workflows and recommend process improvements.Investigate production issues, transaction failures, settlement discrepancies, and merchant-related incidents.Perform SQL and Oracle database analysis to troubleshoot business and technical issues.Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, QA, and Banking Operations teams.Validate merchant configuration, terminal setup, pricing, fees, and settlement rules.Analyze transaction flows across POS, payment gateways, and acquiring systems.Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely issue resolution.Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents and support release validation.Participate in system testing, UAT, and production deployments.Required Skills4–15 years of experience in Merchant Acquiring / Merchant Management within the Banking or Payments industry.Strong understanding of:Merchant OnboardingMerchant Lifecycle ManagementPayment ProcessingMerchant SettlementTransaction LifecycleMerchant Pricing and Fee StructuresStrong Java knowledge.Excellent SQL skills.Hands-on experience with Oracle Database.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and investigation skills.Experience supporting production applications.Ability to analyze business requirements and technical workflows.Preferred SkillsKnowledge of card payment processing (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).Familiarity with ISO 8583 message formats.Experience with REST APIs, Web Services, or Microservices.Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.Basic Shell or Python scripting knowledge is an advantage.Understanding of reconciliation, settlement, chargebacks, and dispute management.Knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance and payment security concepts.Experience with FIS products is an added advantage.Interested candidates, please send your updated resume to:MyHR@JohnTuringWatson.ai#MerchantAcquisition #MerchantOnboarding #PaymentAcquiring #MerchantServices #DigitalPayments #PaymentSolutions #FinTech #PaymentTechnology #GlobalPayments #SaudiArabia #Riyadh #JTW
