Merger Arbitrage Analyst

We are working with a leading global hedge fund who are looking to hire a Merger Arbitrage focused Investment Analyst to join its team in Dubai.The successful candidate will work directly alongside a Portfolio Manager, supporting investment research, idea generation and ongoing portfolio analysis across merger arbitrage and event-driven opportunities.Candidate Profile4-8 years of relevant professional experience.Experience within a hedge fund or tier-one investment banksStrong experience analysing M&A transactions, with exposure to hard events including merger/risk arbitrage, event-driven investing, special situations or M&A advisory particularly relevant.Strong financial modelling, valuation and fundamental research capabilities.Ability to analyse the legal, regulatory, financial and fundamental considerations affecting transaction outcomes.Strong commercial judgement and an ability to develop an independent view on risk/reward.Sharp, intellectually curious and comfortable working directly with a Portfolio Manager in a fast-paced investment environment.
