About the RoleThe M&A Manager supports the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic growth opportunities across Gulftainer's global portfolio. The role is responsible for developing business cases, financial models, investment analyses, and high-quality commercial submissions to support mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic partnerships, concessions, and business development initiatives.Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role contributes to the preparation of EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, investment proposals, and executive decision materials, enabling the organization to pursue opportunities with greater consistency, analytical rigor, and commercial discipline.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Investment AnalysisConduct market, industry, and competitive research to identify strategic business opportunities.Support the evaluation of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, concessions, and investment opportunities.Prepare financial models, valuation analyses, sensitivity analyses, and investment scenarios.Develop robust business cases to support strategic decision-making.Perform commercial and financial due diligence during transaction processes.Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities within the ports, logistics, maritime, and infrastructure sectors.Bid & Proposal ManagementLead the preparation and coordination of EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, and tender submissions.Coordinate inputs from finance, legal, operations, engineering, commercial, and other stakeholders.Ensure proposals are commercially sound, well-structured, and submitted within required timelines.Maintain proposal templates, submission standards, and supporting documentation.Financial & Commercial AnalysisBuild and maintain financial models supporting investment decisions.Analyse project feasibility, expected returns, risks, and commercial assumptions.Prepare investment memorandums and executive presentations.Support budgeting and financial forecasting related to business development initiatives.Strategic ProjectsSupport strategic initiatives and special projects assigned by the Business Development leadership.Assist in transaction execution activities from opportunity screening through project completion.Coordinate internal workstreams during due diligence and project evaluations.Track the progress of active opportunities and maintain an organized opportunity pipeline.Reporting & GovernancePrepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and executive leadership.Maintain documentation related to investment opportunities and bid submissions.Ensure compliance with corporate governance, procurement, and approval requirements throughout project lifecycles.Experience2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, M&A, Infrastructure, Consulting, Project Finance, or a related field.Experience within ports, logistics, shipping, infrastructure, transportation, or industrial sectors is preferred.Experience preparing financial models and investment analyses.Experience supporting EOIs, RFQs, RFPs, or large commercial proposals is highly desirable.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Corporate Finance, or a related discipline.Professional certifications such as CFA (Level I or above), FMVA, or equivalent are an advantage.Technical SkillsAdvanced financial modelling and valuation techniques.Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities.Commercial and investment analysis.Business case development.Market research and competitive analysis.Financial statement analysis.Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.Strong presentation and report-writing skills.Core CompetenciesStrategic ThinkingCommercial AcumenFinancial AnalysisProblem SolvingCritical ThinkingProject CoordinationAttention to DetailCommunication & Presentation SkillsStakeholder ManagementCollaborationTime ManagementResults OrientationKey Success FactorQuality and accuracy of financial models and investment analyses.Timely delivery of EOIs, RFQs, and RFP submissions.Success rate of business development proposals.Quality of business cases presented for investment decisions.Accuracy of commercial and financial analyses.Timeliness and quality of executive reports and presentations.Effectiveness in coordinating cross-functional proposal activities.Contribution to strategic growth opportunities and investment initiatives.
