The organization is committed to sustainability and continuous improvement in its processes to better serve the food industry.Role Description The Microbiologist will work full time on-site at the Mahuva facility, supporting the safety and quality of air-dried vegetable products. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing and analyzing cultures, recording and interpreting test results, and documenting findings in an accurate and timely manner. The Microbiologist will collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to investigate deviations, support corrective actions, and contribute to continuous improvement in hygiene, sanitation, and microbiological controls. The role also includes assisting in the development and validation of testing protocols and providing technical input for audits and certifications.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Microbiology knowledge and practical experience in food or related industries.Candidates should possess Laboratory Skills, including sample preparation, aseptic techniques, and use of Laboratory Equipment.Candidates should possess Quality Control skills for routine testing, data review, and adherence to standards.Candidates should possess Quality Assurance skills to support food safety systems, documentation, and compliance with regulations.Relevant degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.Ability to follow standard operating procedures, maintain detailed records, and work safely in a laboratory environment.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, FSSAI or equivalent) is an advantage.
