Job Title: MicrobiologistLocation: Indiranagar, BangaloreExperience: 1–3 yearsJob SummaryWe are looking for a Microbiologist with 1–3 years of experience to support microbiological laboratory activities and research studies. The role involves conducting microbiological experiments, microbial sampling, culture maintenance, quality control, documentation, and maintaining laboratory standards as per established protocols and SOPs.The ideal candidate should have good technical knowledge of microbiology, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a research laboratory environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Operations and ExperimentsConduct microbiological experiments as per approved study protocols, SOPs, and applicable guidelines.Receive, process, and handle laboratory materials in accordance with established procedures.Perform microbial sampling as per defined study protocols.Isolate, culture, maintain, and handle microbial cultures relevant to research studies.Carry out microbiological testing and analysis as required for ongoing studies.Operate and handle laboratory equipment as per SOPs and safety requirements.Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of the assigned laboratory area.Monitor laboratory materials and inform the concerned person when stocks are running low.Follow laboratory safety, hygiene, and biosafety procedures at all times.Quality Control and DocumentationRecord experimental observations, results, and findings accurately.Maintain laboratory logbooks, worksheets, and other required documentation.Perform routine quality control checks as per established procedures.Identify and report deviations or unexpected results to the reporting manager.Ensure all study-related documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained properly.Follow applicable SOPs, GLP, and study-specific requirements.Study and Team CoordinationSupport the execution of microbiology-related research studies within defined timelines.Coordinate with laboratory and other functional teams for study-related activities.Follow study schedules and complete assigned activities within timelines.Support senior team members in study preparation, execution, and reporting.Participate in internal training and continuously develop technical knowledge in microbiology.QualificationMaster’s degree in microbiology, Biology, Medical Microbiology, or a related field.1–3 years of experience in a microbiology, clinical research, diagnostic, or laboratory environment.Experience in microbial culture, sampling, microbiological testing, and laboratory documentation.Knowledge of laboratory SOPs, GLP, and basic clinical research requirements is preferred.Experience in clinical research or oral health-related microbiology will be an added advantage.Skills and CompetenciesGood knowledge of microbiological techniques and laboratory practices.Good attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work and documentation.Ability to follow SOPs and study protocols carefully.Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with the team.Good laboratory organization and time-management skills.Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise in microbiology.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work in a research-focused laboratory environment.Opportunities for learning, technical development, and professional growth.If you are a motivated Microbiologist looking to build your experience in a clinical research environment, we encourage you to apply.
