Microbiologist - (Cosmetics & Pharma Manufacturing)

We manufacture OTC topical and personal-care formulations — creams, gels, lotions, ointments — primarily for US and international markets, out of our plant near Bavla. Our microbiology lab is where product safety gets proven before anything ships.The roleYou'll run microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and micro QC across raw materials, packaging, water, in-process, and finished product — keeping everything compliant with GMP and our own specifications. Depending on your experience, that ranges from executing routine testing end-to-end to verifying results, leading investigations, and standing behind the micro function in front of auditors. We'll match the level to what you bring.What you'll doPerform microbial limit testing — Total Plate Count, Yeast & Mould Count, and pathogen testing — on raw materials, bulk, finished product, and water samples per approved SOPsCarry testing end-to-end: sampling, media preparation, incubation, observation, and reporting, within committed timelinesPrepare culture media, run growth promotion and media validation tests, and maintain microbiological culturesRun routine environmental monitoring across production and controlled areas — air sampling, surface and personnel monitoring — and flag contamination risks immediatelyPerform microbiological analysis of purified/process water and act on adverse trendsMaintain worksheets, logbooks, and registers to full GMP/GLP and data-integrity standards, and carry the function through internal, customer, and regulatory auditsSupport (and, at senior level, lead) investigations into micro failures, deviations, and OOS results — root cause analysis, CAPA, and follow-through to closureCoordinate with QA, Production, and other departments to resolve quality issuesWho fitsB.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology or equivalent1–8 years in a microbiology lab within Cosmetics, Pharma, OTC, FMCG, or related manufacturing — we'll place you at the right levelSolid on microbial limit testing, environmental monitoring, contamination control, and standard micro lab instrumentsCareful with documentation and disciplined about procedure — in a compliant lab, the record is the workMore experienced candidates: comfortable verifying results, driving investigations, and answering to auditors directlyAble to work on-site at our Bavla plant, full-timeWhat this role is notNot a remote or hybrid role — it's bench work at the Bavla plantNot a corporate QA or documentation-only desk job — you'll be running tests, not just reviewing paperworkNot a fit for someone with only R&D or academic lab exposure and no manufacturing/QC contextHow to applyApply through LinkedIn or send your CV with current location and notice period.
