Role open due to company growth - this will be a new branch with possible leadership growth!Advanced Personnel Resources is currently recruiting for a Microbiology Technician – Sample Testing for an established laboratory operation in Greensboro, NC. This position is responsible for preparing samples and performing microbiological testing using approved laboratory techniques and methodologies.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with microbiology laboratory experience who is looking to grow their career in a professional, team-oriented lab environment.

Location: Greensboro, NCPay: $20.00 per hourSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PMEmployment Type: Temp-to-HireResponsibilitiesPrepare samples for microbiological and analytical testingPerform testing for indicator organisms, pathogens, and related analysesApply proper aseptic techniques throughout daily laboratory activitiesPrepare and maintain media and reagents used for microbiological testingPerform routine quality control activities, including incubator temperature monitoring, control organisms, and media controlsMaintain accurate laboratory records and documentationAssist with inventory and communicate supply and material needsPerform routine cleaning and sanitization of laboratory work areas and equipmentFollow established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and safety requirementsIndependently complete assigned processes and procedures while maintaining accuracy and attention to detailSupport additional laboratory testing and activities based on workload and business needsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious microbiology laboratory experience required2+ years of laboratory experience preferredAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Life Science, or a related field preferredKnowledge of microbiology laboratory concepts, practices, and proceduresStrong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentationAbility to work independently while also contributing to a team environmentAbility to work safely around laboratory chemicals, biological materials, and testing equipmentAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsValid passport requiredTraining & TravelThis position requires initial training in Canada.

The employer will cover the cost of the flight, hotel accommodations, and rental car associated with the training. Candidates must have a current valid passport and be able to travel internationally for training.Work EnvironmentThis position works in a professional laboratory environment and may involve exposure to varying temperatures, odors, fumes, airborne particles, laboratory chemicals, and microbiological materials.The laboratory also performs testing on tobacco, synthetic nicotine products, e-liquids, and related materials.
