TheGeeX values forward-thinking ideas, practical solutions, and long-term partnerships that create measurable impact for clients.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mid-Level Android & Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) Developer role based in Alexandria, Egypt. The developer will design, build, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and KMP, ensuring clean architecture, reusable components, and reliable performance. Daily tasks include implementing new features, integrating APIs and backend services, refactoring existing code, and resolving technical issues across mobile platforms. The role also involves writing unit and integration tests, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with designers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver user-focused solutions. The developer will contribute to technical discussions, propose improvements, and help optimize the development lifecycle and deployment processes.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Android development skills, including Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and best practices for app architecture (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).2–4 years of professional experience in mobile application development, with solid hands-on experience in Android (Kotlin Multiplatform).Candidates should possess Kotlin Multiplatform skills, including experience building shared modules, managing platform-specific implementations, and integrating KMP with Android projects.Candidates should possess software engineering skills such as object-oriented programming, design patterns, version control (Git), and familiarity with CI/CD workflows.Candidates should possess API and data handling skills, including RESTful services integration, JSON parsing, offline storage, and performance optimization for network and database operations.Candidates should possess testing and quality assurance skills, including unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and ensuring code reliability and maintainability.Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, document technical decisions, and provide clear status updates.Experience with UI/UX implementation on Android, Material Design guidelines, and accessibility considerations is beneficial.A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.Experience with other mobile platforms (such as iOS) or cross-platform frameworks, and familiarity with agile methodologies.
