Developer (Integration Engineer) to design, build, and maintain the integration layer connecting a digital Residents and Tenants Portal with various third-party and enterprise systems.You will be responsible for developing secure and reliable APIs and middleware that enable key platform capabilities including authentication, e-signature, payments, access control, CRM integrations, and notifications.The ideal candidate has strong experience in backend development and API integrations, with a solid understanding of API security, authentication protocols, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party and enterprise systemsIntegrate with identity and authentication providers to support SSO, 2FA, password reset, and session managementDevelop integrations with e-signature platforms such as DocuSign or similar solutions to support contracts, addendums, and termination workflowsIntegrate with CRM and leasing systems to synchronize unit listings, inquiries, leads, offers, and other relevant dataDevelop integrations with access-control systems for access cards, visitor codes, and vehicle registrationSupport payment and invoicing integrations, including invoice generation triggers, proof-of-payment workflows, and payment-status synchronizationIntegrate with email and SMS notification gateways for alerts, confirmations, and renewal notificationsIntegrate external data feeds, such as weather and events APIs, where requiredBuild middleware and orchestration logic to keep data and application states synchronized across multiple systemsDefine and maintain API contracts using OpenAPI/SwaggerImplement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth2, OIDC, and JWTDesign robust error-handling, retry, and recovery strategies for integrationsImplement webhook and event-driven handlers for asynchronous workflows such as e-signature completion, payment confirmation, and access-control approvalsCoordinate with internal teams, client IT teams, and third-party vendors to manage integration environments, credentials, and API accessSupport the promotion of integrations from sandbox/testing environments to productionDevelop integration, API, and contract tests and support QA and UAT activitiesMonitor API performance, logs, and error rates and troubleshoot integration issues during production and hypercare periodsMaintain technical documentation, integration architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks to support knowledge transfer and handoverCollaborate with developers, QA engineers, product teams, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of integration-dependent featuresRequirements4+ years of experience in API development, backend development, or integration engineeringStrong hands-on experience building and consuming REST/JSON APIs in production environmentsSolid understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and webhook-based architecturesExperience integrating with at least one e-signature platform such as DocuSign, Adobe Sign, or a similar solutionHands-on experience with SSO and identity providers such as Azure AD, Okta, Auth0, or similarStrong proficiency in at least one backend technology such as Node.js, .NET, or JavaExperience working with API gateways, middleware, message queues, or iPaaS solutionsExperience with API testing tools such as Postman/NewmanStrong understanding of API security best practices, including rate limiting, input validation, authentication/authorization, and secrets managementExperience designing integrations and translating business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria into technical solutionsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsGood understanding of integration testing and production support practicesStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical
