Machine Learning Engineer Location: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Fujairah, UAE (Hybrid)Contract Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract with possibility of extensionEmployment Type: Freelance / Independent ContractorAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team on an initial 6-month freelance contract. This is a hybrid role offering a combination of onsite and remote work.The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning solutions that support key business initiatives. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial contract period, subject to project requirements and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models and AI solutions.Build and maintain end-to-end machine learning pipelines for data ingestion, training, testing, and deployment.Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions.Optimize machine learning models to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.Implement MLOps best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.Work with large datasets to extract insights and improve model effectiveness.Develop APIs and services to support machine learning applications in production environments.Ensure data quality, model accuracy, and compliance with organizational standards.Troubleshoot issues related to model performance and deployment.Stay up to date with emerging AI and machine learning technologies.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.4+ years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering, AI Development, or related roles.Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Keras.Experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments.Strong understanding of software engineering principles and development best practices.Experience with SQL and data processing technologies.Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and MLOps methodologies.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work independently in a freelance consulting environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions.Experience with Databricks, Spark, or other big data technologies.Knowledge of model monitoring, governance, and Responsible AI practices.Experience working in enterprise-scale environments.Previous experience delivering projects within the UAE or GCC region.Apply NowIf you are passionate about AI and machine learning and enjoy building scalable, production-grade solutions, we would love to hear from you.Please note: This opportunity is open to freelancers/independent contractors only and requires availability for a hybrid working arrangement in UAE.NOTE: At SCC, we take the privacy and security of your information very seriously, any information we hold will be by current data protection legislation.
