You’ll contribute to the core mobile experience across iOS and Android, including audio playback, API integration, native device capabilities, performance optimization, and Figma-to-production implementation.Role: Mobile App Developer InternDuration: 2 months, with potential for extension or full-time conversionType: 100% remotePlatforms: iOS and AndroidTechnology: React Native and TypeScriptExperience: Students, recent graduates, and developers with strong relevant projects are welcomeEnvironment: Early-stage startup and product engineeringWhat You’ll DoBuild the initial Muztream mobile application for iOS and Android using React Native and TypeScript.Help design and implement a unified audio experience supporting Cloudflare R2 assets, embedded content, and external CDNs.Contribute to audio features such as pre-buffering, background playback, lock-screen controls, and Bluetooth state synchronization.Build responsive, high-performance interfaces and interactive features with smooth animations and minimal frame drops.Implement audio-synchronized data displays and real-time rendering experiences.Work with native device capabilities, including local storage, GPS, notifications, and background scheduling.Translate multi-screen Figma designs into polished, production-ready interfaces.Help structure navigation flows across authentication, discovery, content details, playback, and persistent mini-player experiences.Integrate REST APIs using clear, strongly typed TypeScript interfaces.Optimize performance, memory usage, image loading, audio caching, and long lists.Participate in code reviews, debugging, technical discussions, and product decisions.Technical RequirementsStrong practical experience with React Native through professional work, coursework, freelance projects, or meaningful personal projects.Good understanding of React Native components, lifecycle behavior, navigation, and mobile UI patterns.Comfortable writing TypeScript with interfaces, generics, and strict type safety.Experience working with REST APIs, asynchronous data, and error handling.Familiarity with mobile performance optimization and responsive layouts.Understanding of background tasks, app lifecycle states, notifications, or device capabilities.Familiarity with Git, GitHub, branches, pull requests, and clean commit practices.Ability to read Figma designs and implement them accurately.Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and independent research skills.Willingness to learn quickly and take ownership in a remote startup environment.Nice to HaveExperience with Expo or React Native CLI.Familiarity with Zustand, Redux, TanStack Query, or similar tools.Experience with React Navigation.Familiarity with audio libraries such as `react-native-track-player`.Experience with Firebase, push notifications, analytics, or Notifee.Experience with Cloudflare R2, CDNs, or media streaming.Experience with local storage tools such as MMKV.Experience publishing an app to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.Open-source contributions or meaningful React Native projects.Experience working with native iOS or Android modules.What You’ll LearnDuring the internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience with:Building a production-grade React Native application from scratch.Designing mobile audio streaming and background playback experiences.Working with native iOS and Android capabilities.Structuring TypeScript codebases and scalable API integrations.Optimizing mobile performance, memory usage, and data loading.Using Git workflows, code reviews, and collaborative engineering practices.Turning Figma designs into production-ready interfaces.Working on a real startup product intended for a global audience.How We WorkWe value ownership, transparency, curiosity, and execution.You won’t simply be assigned isolated tasks.
