You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into reliable, intuitive, and high-quality mobile experiences.We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of features from development through testing and deployment, while maintaining a strong focus on performance, usability, and code quality.Key Responsibilties:Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and ExpoBuild reusable, maintainable, and scalable mobile componentsTranslate UI/UX designs and product requirements into functional mobile experiencesIntegrate mobile applications with REST APIs and backend servicesIdentify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and platform-specific problemsOptimise applications for performance, responsiveness, and reliabilityImplement features such as authentication, push notifications, analytics, media handling, and third-party integrationsManage application builds, releases, and updates for iOS and AndroidCollaborate with designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycleParticipate in code reviews and follow good development and Git practicesContribute to technical decisions and continuously improve application qualityRequired Skills & Experience:Strong hands-on experience with React NativeExperience working with ExpoStrong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScriptGood understanding of React concepts, hooks, component architecture, and state managementExperience integrating and consuming REST APIsExperience with Git and version-control workflowsUnderstanding of mobile application performance and optimisationFamiliarity with iOS and Android application lifecyclesExperience debugging and troubleshooting mobile applicationsAbility to write clean, structured, and maintainable codeQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field1+ years of professional experience in mobile application development preferredDemonstrable experience building applications using React NativeExperience working on applications that have been released or prepared for release on iOS and AndroidStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workGood to Have:Experience with Node.js and Express.jsFamiliarity with MongoDB and/or MySQLExperience with Firebase or similar servicesExperience implementing push notificationsExperience with analytics and crash-reporting toolsKnowledge of native Android/iOS developmentExperience publishing and maintaining applications on the Apple App Store and Google Play StoreExperience with CI/CD or automated mobile build and deployment workflowsWhat We Value:Ownership and accountabilityStrong problem-solving skillsAttention to detailA focus on both functionality and user experienceClear communication and collaborationAbility to work effectively in a fast-moving environmentA preference for maintainable solutions over quick fixes
