To drive this global expansion, our Digital & Technology Transformation team is building a central mobile platform powered by Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) to power seamless, world-class app experiences across the globe.We are seeking hands-on engineers to design, build, and maintain our cross-platform mobile app across Android and iOS.📍 Role Overview

Location: Cape Town, South Africa (Hybrid: 2–3 days onsite per week)Compensation: Up to R110,000 per month (negotiable based on experience/role level)Tech Focus: Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), Shared Architecture, Native Android/iOS integration, REST APIs, CI/CD1️⃣ Senior Mobile EngineerThe Role: As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will own complex technical problem spaces, lead cross-platform feature delivery via KMP, set high code quality standards, and shape architectural decisions to drive scalable, global app releases.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end delivery of complex features, architecture layers, and shared KMP logic.Guide technical trade-offs between shared code vs. native Android/iOS implementations.Conduct code reviews, establish testing strategies, and mentor team members.Lead backend integration alignment, release management, CI/CD pipelines, and app observability.Root-cause production issues, reduce technical debt, and ensure high app stability.

Requirements

6+ years of professional software development experience with a deep focus on mobile.Strong experience with cross-platform frameworks, ideally Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).Deep understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, modularisation, and RESTful APIs.Hands-on experience with unit testing, automated CI/CD pipelines, and mobile release flows.Strong technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.2️⃣ Mid-Level Mobile EngineerThe Role: As a Mobile Engineer, you will focus on building clean, testable, feature-rich app capabilities using KMP, working closely with engineering leads, product managers, designers, and QA to deliver end-to-end features.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain mobile features using KMP and platform-specific implementations where required.Contribute to shared domain, networking, and business logic layers for iOS and Android.Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, estimation, and technical reviews.Write unit tests, assist with bug fixes, and help optimize performance and app stability.Collaborate across backend and cross-functional product teams to support steady releases.

Requirements
