Mobile Application Developer

As a Senior Mobile App Developer, you will design, develop and maintain production iOS and Android applications using React Native, Expo and TypeScript. You will take hands-on ownership of mobile architecture, feature delivery, performance, security and releases, working closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers and QA. You will also guide technical decisions, review code and mentor other developers.

Key Responsibilities

App Development:

• Architect, build and maintain scalable iOS and Android applications using React Native, Expo and TypeScript.
• Develop reusable components, navigation and state/data management; deliver responsive, accessible interfaces for phones, tablets and TVs.
• Integrate APIs, authentication, secure token storage, push notifications, deep links and offline/error-handling flows.Problem-Solving:
• Diagnose JavaScript and native crashes, device-specific defects and build failures; resolve root causes using logs and monitoring tools.
• Profile and optimize startup time, rendering, memory and network usage across supported devices and operating systems.Technology Stack:
• Own Expo development builds, prebuild, config plugins, native SDK integrations and React Native/Expo dependency upgrades.
• Manage EAS Build, EAS Submit and EAS Update, Git-based CI/CD, environment configuration, signing credentials and app-store submissions.
• Plan safe over-the-air updates, runtime compatibility, staged releases and rollback procedures.Collaboration:
• Clarify requirements with product, design, backend and QA teams; estimate work and independently deliver features end to end.
• Lead technical discussions and code reviews, mentor developers, document architecture and raise delivery risks and dependencies early.Quality Assurance:
• Write unit, component and integration tests; support automated end-to-end testing and regression testing on real devices.
• Maintain coding standards, secure data handling and production observability; own defect resolution and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of mobile application development, including 3+ years of hands-on React Native development and proven production experience with Expo.
• Expert-level React Native, React hooks, TypeScript and modern JavaScript; strong mobile architecture, navigation and state-management skills.
• Hands-on Expo expertise beyond Expo Go: development builds, prebuild, config plugins, native SDK integration and EAS Build/Submit/Update.
• Demonstrated ownership of production apps released on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, including signing, submissions and release troubleshooting.
• Strong API integration, authentication, secure storage and mobile lifecycle knowledge; ability to debug native iOS/Android issues using Xcode and Android Studio.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, performance profiling, crash reporting and automated testing using Jest and React Native Testing Library or equivalent tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, mentor developers and collaborate remotely.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Swift and Kotlin for native integrations; experience with end-to-end testing using Maestro or Detox.
• Experience with in-app purchases, subscriptions, media playback, tablet layouts and Arabic/English interfaces with right-to-left support.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP and production monitoring tools such as Sentry or Firebase Crashlytics.As an App Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications. You will work closely with product managers, UI/UX, and other team members to create innovative and user-friendly apps.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience developing mobile applications.Strong programming skills in React & React Native, or other relevant languages.Experience with mobile development frameworks (e.g., SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, React Native).Understanding of mobile app design principles and user experience.Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
