Location: This is an onsite role based at Nextiva’s Bengaluru office (Wilshire III by MFAR, 492, Hobli, RHB Colony, Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560048).

Specific scheduling and flexibility will be guided by your leader to support both team collaboration and individual productivity.Nextiva is looking for a Software Engineer III – Mobile with strong expertise in React Native, TypeScript, and modern mobile application architecture.In this role, you’ll be a senior, hands-on engineer responsible for building and evolving mobile experiences across iOS and Android. You’ll lead complex features from technical design through production release, make thoughtful architecture decisions, and help improve application performance, reliability, and engineering quality.You’ll work closely with product, design, backend, QA, engineering leadership, and other engineers to deliver scalable mobile experiences. You’ll also help raise the technical bar through code reviews, engineering standards, reusable patterns, and mentorship.What You’ll DoDesign, build, release, and maintain high-quality cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and TypeScriptLead complex mobile features from technical design and architecture through implementation, testing, release, and production supportDesign scalable mobile architecture and reusable components that support long-term product developmentBuild and evolve VoIP, calling, mobile calling integrations, and related voice capabilitiesIntegrate mobile applications with REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication systems, third-party services, and backend platformsBuild reliable experiences involving state management, offline functionality, push notifications, and complex application workflowsIdentify and resolve mobile performance, reliability, security, and scalability challengesDebug complex production issues across iOS and Android environmentsDevelop and maintain automated tests and monitoring practices that improve application qualityContribute to CI/CD pipelines and reliable mobile build and release processesConduct thoughtful code reviews and help establish engineering standards and best practicesMentor junior engineers and support the technical growth of the broader engineering teamPartner closely with product, design, backend, QA, and engineering leadership to turn product requirements into scalable technical solutionsEvaluate technical tradeoffs and communicate decisions clearly across engineering and cross-functional teamsUse AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve engineering productivity while maintaining strong standards for code quality, security, testing, and technical judgmentWhat You Bring5–8 years of software development experienceAt least 3 years of hands-on React Native experienceStrong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and cross-platform mobile developmentHands-on experience building VoIP/calling features or mobile calling integrations, with an understanding of the performance, reliability, and user-experience considerations involved in delivering production-grade voice capabilities on iOS and AndroidExperience designing scalable mobile application architecture and reusable component librariesProven experience building, releasing, and maintaining applications for both iOS and AndroidStrong knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication, state management, offline support, push notifications, and third-party integrationsExperience with mobile performance optimization, security, automated testing, monitoring, and production debuggingGood understanding of Xcode, Android Studio, native build systems, Git, and CI/CD pipelinesDemonstrated ability to independently lead complex features from technical design through production releaseExperience conducting code reviews, defining engineering standards, and mentoring junior engineersExperience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools responsiblyStrong communication, technical decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skillsAI LiteracyWe’re looking for engineers who know how to use AI as an effective development tool while maintaining strong engineering judgment.Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools to accelerate appropriate parts of the software development lifecycle. Apply sound technical judgment when reviewing, testing, securing, and validating AI-assisted code rather than relying on generated output without verification. Identify opportunities where AI can improve developer productivity, debugging, technical exploration, documentation, or other engineering workflows.
