As a Tech Lead in Mobile Engineering, you will be at the forefront of shaping next-generation connected vehicle and mobility experiences, working within a dynamic team that values bold thinking and engineering craftsmanship. This is a rare opportunity to own a platform, lead people, and make a real impact — all from day one.Your RoleIn this role you will play a key role in:Owning the Companion App technical roadmap and platform evolution strategy, ensuring alignment with product vision, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and connected vehicle service objectives — driving coherent, forward-looking technical decisions across the full mobile ecosystem.Leading end-to-end technical transition activities, including source code repository migrations, CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring platforms, documentation, and knowledge transfer from external suppliers — ensuring a seamless and well-governed insourcing process.Delivering hands-on technical leadership across iOS, Android, and BFF services, taking full ownership of the mobile application stack while maintaining the highest standards of quality, performance, scalability, and security.Implementing and overseeing mobile security practices, including OAuth2/OpenID Connect, mobile certificate management, API security, secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), and vulnerability remediation across the platform.Building and scaling internal mobile engineering capability through mentoring, coaching, technical hiring, onboarding, and the establishment of engineering communities of practice — fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.Conducting code reviews and collaborating with the Solution Architect to implement sound architectural decisions, ensuring the platform remains robust, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.Coordinating technical planning, releases, and cross-team dependencies, resolving complex technical challenges, production issues, and integration bottlenecks to keep delivery on track and stakeholders aligned.Your ProfileExtensive mobile engineering and leadership experience, with 8-12 years in software engineering and 3-5 years in a Technical Lead or Engineering Lead capacity, with a proven track record delivering enterprise-scale mobile products on iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin).Strong backend and cloud proficiency, including hands-on experience with REST APIs, microservices, BFF architecture, Java Spring Boot, and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS — along with solid CI/CD and DevOps practices.Deep expertise in mobile security and platform governance, covering authentication, secrets management, access control, secure software supply chains, and experience managing supplier transitions, source code migrations, and platform ownership handovers.Proven ability to lead and grow engineering teams, with strong mentoring, coaching, and community-building skills — someone who thrives on developing others and establishing best practices at scale.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery practices, including release management, automated testing, quality assurance, and the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders in complex enterprise environments.Experience in automotive, connected vehicle, telematics, mobility, or IoT domains is highly preferred, bringing valuable context to the platform and product challenges this role will face.A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.What You'll Love About Working HereDigital campuses and academy Our engineering academy offers more than 60,000 hours of training, as well as our digital campus on GenAI, data or sustainability, supporting digital learning in the flow of work from awareness to expert certifications.Capgemini Research Institute CRI pioneers best-in-class research, covering ethical AI and sustainability trends to assist organizations in addressing critical questions.
