As we transition from externally developed software to a fully in‑house, scalable mobile function, you will take end‑to‑end ownership of the Kaleido App and the engineering capability behind it.From day one, you will define ViCentra’s mobile engineering foundations, setting development processes, quality standards, and ways of working that meet the demands of a regulated medical device environment while enabling innovation and agility. You will build and grow the team, shape the culture, and ensure the mobile platform is robust, compliant, and ready to scale.This role sits at the intersection of technology, regulation, and product strategy. Your work will directly support ViCentra’s US expansion, future device integrations, and long‑term product roadmap.This is not a “keep‑the‑lights‑on” role. You will establish the foundations of a mobile platform that is critical to ViCentra’s growth and have lasting influence on how we build medical software for years to come.🔧 What you’ll take onIn your role, you will:Lead the transition of a medically regulated mobile app from an external development partner to internal ownershipDefine, implement, and continuously improve mobile software development processes within a regulated medical device environmentBuild and scale a mobile engineering team (growing to ~10 people) across Android, iOS, usability, and testingEstablish and mature medical-device–compliant software development processes (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 62366)Own delivery of mobile software used in conjunction with medical hardware and cloud backendsDrive collaboration across cyber security, systems, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teamsAct as the key technical and delivery interface with external partners and suppliersIntroduce and strengthen Agile / Scrum ways of working within a regulated environmentEnsure mobile software meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory complianceSupport product releases tied to ViCentra’s go-to-market strategyReport directly into the VP of R&D and shape the future mobile roadmap📌 What you bringExtensive experience in medical device software developmentProven leadership experience managing mobile engineering teamsDeep knowledge of medical device regulations and QMS, including ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 62366, FDA / 21 CFR 820Experience working with externally developed software and bringing it in-houseStrong understanding of mobile app development (Android and/or iOS) and hands on background in Android (Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift)Confidence working in complex multi-disciplinary environmentsComfortable operating with autonomy, ownership, and accountabilityPrevious scale-up or rapid-growth environment experience💡 Life at ViCentraWorking at ViCentra means joining a team defined by:Courage to create: We experiment, challenge norms, and learn fast.Trust above all: Integrity, honesty, and openness shape our relationships.Customer-first mindset: Every idea is measured by the impact on those we serve.A drive for excellence: We hold ourselves to the highest standard because lives depend on it.Our days move fast, fueled by curiosity, diverse perspectives, and a love for collaboration.
