Day-to-day tasks include identifying hardware and software issues, performing component-level repairs, updating and installing software, and testing devices to ensure quality and functionality. The technician will interact directly with customers, explain repair options and timelines, provide basic technical guidance, and maintain clear records of all service activities. The role also involves keeping the workspace organized, following safety and quality standards, coordinating with sales staff when devices require replacement or accessories, and staying updated on new models and common technical issues.Qualifications Strong technical skills in mobile phone diagnostics, hardware repair, and basic software troubleshooting.Ability to install, update, and configure mobile operating systems and common applications.Experience using repair tools, equipment, and service management systems in a workshop environment.Good customer service and communication skills to clearly explain technical issues and solutions.Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple repair tasks efficiently.Previous experience as a mobile, electronics, or IT repair technician is highly beneficial.Basic understanding of laptops, gaming consoles, routers, and CCTV systems is an advantage.Relevant technical diploma, certification, or practical training in electronics or mobile servicing preferred.
