Mobile Service Technician - Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging

Summary: As a Mobile Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Technician, you will be on-call to be dispatched to bring our mobile electric charging service to the location of a customer’s stranded electric vehicle. The Mobile Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Technician will provide a professional service directly to our customers who cannot make it to a fixed charging station. The Mobile EV Charging Technician adds electrical energy and charges customers’ EVs anywhere in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex using Mobile EV Fast Charge’s proprietary EV charging equipment and methods. Responsibilities:Mobile EV Charging Technician will:Answer their phone or text from Dispatch when a customer requirement comes in (and communicate whether you’re available or not).Drive safely to and from a charging engagement. Driving (safely) is a primary responsibility. The Mobile EV Charging Technician is provided with a company van and equipment for business purposes (only). Perform all job tasks in a customer oriented manner. Communicate confidently arrival ETAs and high-level charging steps and discuss charging / mileage requirements and their status.Assess and adapt to diverse situations at the vehicle requiring a charge and its surrounding.Understand written and verbal operating procedures. Operate the EV Charger safely, according to written procedures concerning personal safety, vehicle safety and equipment safety.Follow start up and shut down procedures on charger and power source.Troubleshoot basic EV charging and power source issues. Problem solve based on situational assessment, personal knowledge and experience, information and advice from company resources and personnel, and information available on the Internet.Jumpstart an EV 12 V battery with a jump box or another vehicle.Qualifications:The Mobile Service Technician for EV Charging is provided with a company van for business purposes. As such, a safe / clean driving record and valid Texas driver’s license is essential.Mobile Service Technician for EV Charging must have the followingCustomer oriented. Able to communicate confidently arrival ETAs and high-level charging steps and discuss charging / mileage requirements and their status.Able to understand written and verbal operating procedures. Able to operate the EV Charger safely, according to written procedures concerning personal safety, vehicle safety and equipment safety.Basic troubleshooting of charger and power source. Ability to push equipment (effectively weighing 100 lb ) on wheels up ramp onto a pickup truck. [ability to move around equipment on wheels up to 100lbs]
