Mobile Tech LeadResponsible to spearhead the development and delivery of our enterprise-level e-commerce mobile application based on React NativeOpportunity to be one of our first team members in Woolworths Group India in BangaloreWoolworths Group India is partnering exclusively with Zinnov Group to recruit for this position.About the roleWe are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Mobile Tech Lead to spearhead the development and delivery of our enterprise-level e-commerce mobile application based on React Native. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced enterprise environment.What you’ll doTechnical Leadership & Architecture: Define and enforce best practices, architectural standards, code quality and development methodologies inside a React Native code base.Team Management: Provide proven leadership and mentorship to a team of mobile engineers and QA, including managing day-to-day activities, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.Hands-on Development: Maintain an active, hands-on role in coding, code reviews, debugging, and complex feature implementation to set a technical example and guide the team through critical challenges. This also includes being responsible for release preparation and management.Problem Solving: Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical challenges and performance bottlenecks within the application architecture and development process.Global Collaboration: Effectively coordinate development efforts and communicate status updates across engineering teams operating in international timezones.Strategy & Roadmap: Partner with product management, UX/UI, and back-end teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for the squad and contribute to the overall mobile technology roadmap.What you’ll bringTechnology Expertise: Very strong and current background in developing, deploying, and managing complex mobile applications using React Native, Github and Expo.Strong knowledge also required in BFF layers and API’s, Firebase, Authentication integrations, Martech integrations, Feature flagging and AB Testing, Mobile automation testing using Maestro, Cross operating system knowledge to support iOS and Android and Proven experience in uplifting QA processes.Leadership Experience: Proven team leadership experience, with a minimum of five (5) years successfully running and mentoring development teams. A background in forming and developing teams is highly desirable for this role. Our teams operate under SCRUM methodologies, experience as a SCRUM master is preferred.E-commerce Focus: Experience building and optimising mobile applications specifically for large-scale, enterprise-level e-commerce platforms or transactional based platforms.Problem-Solving Prowess: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of diagnosing technical challenges/defects effectively.Work Style: A demonstrated hands-on approach to leadership and development, driving both strategic oversight and direct code contributions. A high degree of autonomy and strong time management skills are essential for self-organisation in this role.Communication & Timezones: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to work effectively across geographically distributed teams and multiple timezones.
