🗂 We’re Hiring: Modeling Specialist🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time💼 Level: Mid-Level to SeniorWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surface Modeling Specialist to develop complex 3D surface models, digital designs, and engineering geometry for products and components. This role will work closely with Product Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to create accurate, aesthetically refined, and manufacturable surface models that meet technical and business requirements.🎯 Key Responsibilities• Develop high-quality 3D surface models for products, components, assemblies, and engineering applications.• Create complex Class-A and freeform surfaces using advanced CAD modeling techniques.• Translate sketches, concepts, engineering requirements, scan data, and design references into accurate digital surface models.• Develop and refine surface geometry to achieve required aesthetic, functional, dimensional, and manufacturing standards.• Create and maintain detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, assemblies, and technical documentation.• Perform surface analysis, curvature analysis, continuity checks, and geometric validation.• Apply appropriate surface modeling techniques to achieve smooth transitions, accurate profiles, and high-quality geometry.• Collaborate with Industrial Designers, Product Designers, Mechanical Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and other technical teams.• Support reverse engineering and surface reconstruction activities using 3D scan data where required.• Prepare surface models for tooling, prototyping, manufacturing, simulation, and production processes.• Ensure models meet GD&T, tolerance, dimensional, and engineering requirements.• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations regarding surface quality and manufacturability.• Modify and optimize existing surface models based on engineering changes, testing results, customer feedback, or manufacturing requirements.• Support prototype development, design validation, and product improvement initiatives.• Maintain organized CAD files, model libraries, revisions, and technical documentation.• Identify opportunities to improve modeling workflows, design accuracy, efficiency, and CAD standards.• Stay current with advanced surface modeling techniques, CAD technologies, and industry best practices.✅ Requirements• Proven experience in surface modeling, CAD design, product design, automotive design, aerospace design, or a related engineering field.• Strong experience with advanced surface modeling and freeform geometry.• Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA, Siemens NX, PTC Creo, SolidWorks, Autodesk Alias, or similar platforms.• Strong understanding of Class-A surface development, continuity, curvature, and surface quality.• Experience with solid modeling, wireframe modeling, assemblies, and engineering drawings is preferred.• Knowledge of GD&T, dimensional tolerancing, design standards, and manufacturing processes.• Experience working with scan data, point clouds, reverse engineering, or surface reconstruction is an advantage.• Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).• Excellent attention to detail and strong spatial visualization skills.• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality teams.• Strong understanding of product development and engineering change processes.• Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet technical deadlines.• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field is preferred.• Relevant CAD, engineering, or professional design certifications are an advantage.🌟 What We Offer• Opportunity to work on complex 3D surface modeling and advanced product design projects.• Exposure to advanced CAD technologies, product development, engineering, manufacturing, and digital design.• Opportunity to contribute to innovative products from concept through production.• Career progression into Senior Surface Modeling Specialist, Lead Surface Designer, Class-A Surface Modeler, Senior CAD Designer, Product Design Engineer, Surface Design Manager, or Design Engineering Manager roles.• A technology-driven, creative, and engineering-focused work environment.• Access to advanced CAD tools, technical training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.• Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and comprehensive benefits package.
