Based in Kathmandu, her/his role involves leading regional-level reporting, monitoring, and evaluation activities.Leading and managing team to deliver project activities in the M & E component:Supervise, mentor and guide field M&E staff, monitor and follow up on field-level project activities to ensure accurate reportingPrepare project reports and keep databases as per standards formats and as per needFacilitate and support the district/field team for the reporting of progress on activities as planned in the Detail Implementation Plan (DIP) in close coordination with other concerned project staffDevelop and update monitoring tools based on the reporting needs provided by the M&E leadFacilitate to develop capacity of project and partner staff on data collection and reportingTechnical backstopping to project staff on effective and timely reporting of project activities. Follow the M & E reporting and documentation requirements and donor guidelinesProvide feedback to the district team for quality reports and achieve project targets in timeSupport to develop action plans and strategiesRepresent the iDE proactively in different M & E related for a (meetings, sharing events etc.) as necessaryProvide support and maintenance to existing MIS systems and maintain documentation for smooth operation and easy system maintenanceResponsible for overseeing the TLTN project, ensuring its timely completion within budget and scope while adhering to MERL's quality standardsAny other duties as assigned by the organisationAdditional specific elements of the ToR include:Closely work with all concerned officials and concerned personnel to consolidate reportsParticipate in M & E related activities and other relevant activities at different levelsSupervise and guide the monitoring officer field staff, follow up and monitor the field level project activities frequently so that reporting would reflect realityPrepare and deliver progress reports monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annually as per need of M & E reporting systemEnsure that the reporting made by the staff accurately meets the reporting deadline and quality standardOversee and make sure that the information required for M & E and project implementation are properly collected, processed and documented. Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and practices to safeguard personal dataIntegrate evidence-based decision-making system by the systematic collection, analysis, and application of relevant data to guide all key decisionsOther jobs and duties related to M & E as directed by the MERL Leader and other concerned senior projects dignitariesRequirementsBachelor with 3 years' experience. Master Degree with a 2 year experience. (Background: Agriculture Economic (Preferred), Sociology, Business Studies or other)Experience in delivering field-level extension activities, organising training, and training received in agriculture, nutrition, and food loss related subjectsExperience working in the agriculture and nutrition sector with a market systems development approachExperience in post harvest, food loss and waste reduction as well in research projects will be an added benefitGood spoken and written skills in both English and NepaliAdvanced proficiency in using standard software (Google docs, sheet, slides, KOBO, Stata, SPSS, GIS (basic), office packages) knowledge of common ICTs, and their use in agricultural extension systemsDemonstrated ability to write reports, success stories, and promotional materialsFamiliarity with international donors programs and procedures, with an emphasis on monitoring and evaluation proceduresBenefitsAs per the iDE norms.iDE Nepal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
