School DescriptionEDU Early Years School Phnom Penh is a new early childhood education institution preparing to open soon in Toul Kork, Phnom Penh. The school will provide a nurturing, engaging, and child-centered learning environment, with an emphasis on Montessori and early years methodologies.As a new school, EDU Early Years School is being built with a strong focus on creating a high-quality educational environment from the ground up. The school aims to foster holistic development across social, emotional, cognitive, and physical areas while working closely with families and the local community to support each child's individual learning journey.Role Description The Montessori or Early Years School Lead Teaching Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Tuol Kork. This team member supports the lead teacher in planning and facilitating age-appropriate learning activities aligned with Montessori and early years principles. Daily tasks include preparing classroom materials, guiding children through individual and small-group work, supporting routines such as snack, rest, and transitions, and maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment. The Lead Teaching Assistant observes and documents children’s progress, communicates with teaching staff and families as needed, and helps implement behavior guidance that is positive and respectful. The role also involves collaborating in curriculum planning, participating in staff meetings and training, and contributing actively to a caring, inclusive school culture.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Assistant Teaching and Education skills, with experience supporting learning in early childhood or primary settings.Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with colleagues and engage respectfully with children and families.Candidates should possess basic to intermediate skills suitable for early years instruction and activities.Candidates should possess proven abilities in Working With Children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding of child development.Relevant qualifications such as a certificate or degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori training, or related fields are highly beneficial.Ability to follow school policies, maintain child safety standards, and support inclusive practices for learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities.Strong organizational skills, reliability, and willingness to participate in ongoing professional learning.
