Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description: This is a full-time on-site role for a Mooring Master located in Shinas port area (North of Oman). The Mooring Master will be responsible for overseeing the daily MAS (Marine Assurance Services) operations at Shinas port including: 1. Bunker Operations Witnessing & Quantity Verification: Deploying certified personnel directly onto bunker supply barges and receiving assets to cross-verify physical tank soundings, temperatures, fuel densities, and documentation parameters against declared cargo manifests to achieve absolute loss control and revenue governance.2. Environmental Monitoring: Executing systematic open-water sampling grids, deploying portable volatile organic compound (VOC) atmospheric sniffers, conducting digital optical tracking with GPS timestamps, and auditing fuel transfers for regulatory environmental protection compliance.3. Ship Movement Tracking & Governance: Continuous data harvesting via localized marine radar arrays, Class A Automatic Identification System (AIS) monitoring, and active marine VHF channel auditing to report and document physical vessel anchoring boundaries, berth timelines, and unauthorized activity vectors on behalf of the Port Operator.4. First-Line Emergency Response: Serving as the port's immediate maritime rapid-deployment asset to provide Tier 1 emergency containment (such as sorbent marine booms and chemical-free absorbent pads), localized surface clearing Experience & Qualifications:Certifications: Valid STCW Master Mariner (Class 1) or Chief Mate credentials, along with specific VHF and radar endorsements.Operational Track Record: A minimum of 24–36 months of verified Mooring Master/POAC (Person in Overall Advisory Control) experience on large product tankers or VLCCs.Technical Knowledge: Mastery of OCIMF guidelines, marine cargo measurement, custody transfer verification, and loss control protocols to ensure operational transparency.Experience in Bunkering and STS operations, navigational skills, piloting, and seamanshipProficiency in maritime laws, regulations, and safety protocols with strong leadership and crew management skills, effective communication and coordination abilities with sound experience in handling emergency situations.
