We are looking for an experienced mortgage loan originator. The position is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans, guiding applicants through the loan process from initial inquiry to closing, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with prospective borrowers, collecting and analyzing financial information, coordinating with underwriting and processing teams, and maintaining compliance with lending regulations and bank policies. The Mortgage Loan Officer will build and maintain relationships with real estate professionals and community partners, manage a pipeline of loans, and meet established production and quality goals. The role also involves providing ongoing support to customers, resolving questions, and promoting First Federal Bank’s mortgage products and services.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong experience in roles related to Loan Officers, including originating and managing residential mortgage files.Candidates should possess knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including conventional, FHA, VA, and other relevant loan products.Candidates should possess skills in Underwriting fundamentals, such as assessing creditworthiness, reviewing income and assets, and understanding risk and compliance requirements.Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, including clear communication, responsiveness, and the ability to explain complex information in a straightforward manner.Proven ability to meet sales and production targets while maintaining high-quality loan files and compliance standards.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency with loan origination software and basic office applications.Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with borrowers, real estate agents, and other referral partners.High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.Relevant compliance with NMLS registration requirements.
