operational controls.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Mortgage Manager to lead mortgage origination, processing, underwriting coordination, portfolio management, customer service, and operational performance.The successful candidate will oversee mortgage applications from initial assessment through approval, documentation, disbursement, and post-completion servicing, while ensuring lending decisions comply with credit policies, regulatory requirements, risk appetite, and service standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage day-to-day mortgage operations.Develop and implement mortgage lending strategies aligned with organizational objectives and risk appetite.Oversee mortgage applications from initial submission through approval, documentation, completion, and disbursement.Establish efficient mortgage-processing workflows and service standards.Monitor mortgage application volumes, turnaround times, approval rates, conversion rates, and completion performance.Coordinate closely with Sales, Credit, Underwriting, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Valuations, Finance, and Customer Service teams.Ensure mortgage applications are processed accurately, efficiently, and within established service-level agreements.Review mortgage applications and supporting documentation.Ensure applicants meet established eligibility, affordability, credit, employment, income, and property requirements.Coordinate credit and underwriting assessments.Review complex, high-value, or exceptional mortgage cases within delegated authority.Escalate applications outside established approval limits or policy parameters.Ensure mortgage decisions are supported by appropriate documentation and analysis.Monitor adherence to approved mortgage credit policies and lending criteria.Ensure appropriate affordability and repayment-capacity assessments are completed.Review borrower income, liabilities, expenses, existing debt obligations, and overall financial position.Assess customer repayment capacity and potential financial stress.Monitor loan-to-value and other relevant lending metrics.Ensure mortgage applications meet applicable risk and regulatory requirements.Coordinate property valuation and assessment processes.Review valuation reports for completeness and consistency with lending requirements.Monitor property-related risks that may affect mortgage exposure.Coordinate with approved valuers, property professionals, legal representatives, and other external parties.Ensure appropriate property documentation is obtained before completion.Monitor title, ownership, registration, insurance, and other relevant property requirements.Coordinate mortgage documentation with Legal and Operations teams.Ensure facility agreements, security documents, disclosures, and other required documentation are complete and appropriately executed.Monitor outstanding conditions prior to approval, documentation, and disbursement.Establish effective document-control processes.Ensure mortgage files are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.Monitor mortgage approval conditions and ensure they are satisfied before disbursement.Coordinate mortgage disbursements with Finance and Operations.Ensure funds are released only after required approvals and conditions are satisfied.Monitor post-disbursement documentation and outstanding requirements.Manage mortgage pipeline and ensure applications progress efficiently.Identify bottlenecks, delays, incomplete documentation, and stalled applications.Establish escalation procedures for delayed cases.Monitor application turnaround times across each stage of the mortgage lifecycle.Develop strategies to improve application conversion and completion rates.Monitor mortgage sales and origination performance.Work with Sales teams to establish appropriate mortgage targets and customer-acquisition strategies.Support mortgage-product development and pricing initiatives.Analyze market conditions, competitor offerings, interest-rate movements, customer demand, and mortgage trends.Provide management with recommendations regarding mortgage products, pricing, eligibility, and service improvements.Ensure sales practices remain aligned with lending policies and regulatory requirements.Monitor the quality of mortgage applications submitted by sales channels.Identify recurring application-quality issues and provide feedback to Sales teams.Develop training and guidance for mortgage sales and processing staff.Monitor customer experience throughout the mortgage journey.Ensure customers receive clear, timely, and accurate information regarding application status, documentation, approvals, fees, terms, and conditions.Manage escalated customer complaints and complex mortgage cases.Coordinate with Customer Service teams to resolve mortgage-related issues.Ensure customer communications comply with applicable regulatory and internal requirements.Maintain appropriate records of customer interactions and decisions.Monitor the mortgage portfolio after origination.Analyze repayment performance, delinquency, arrears, and early-warning indicators.Identify customers experiencing financial difficulty.Coordinate with Collections and Credit teams regarding delinquent mortgage accounts.Support appropriate restructuring, refinancing, payment arrangements, or other remedial solutions where permitted.Monitor mortgage portfolio risk by customer segment, product, property type, geography, and other relevant categories.Identify concentrations and emerging portfolio risks.Monitor early repayment, refinancing, default, and delinquency trends.Support portfolio stress testing and scenario analysis.Assess the potential impact of interest-rate changes, property-market movements, unemployment, economic conditions, and other factors on mortgage performance.Develop risk-mitigation recommendations for emerging portfolio risks.Coordinate with Risk Management regarding mortgage portfolio monitoring and risk appetite.Ensure mortgage products and processes comply with applicable laws, regulations, lending standards, and internal policies.Monitor regulatory changes affecting mortgage lending.Coordinate with Compliance and Legal regarding new requirements and policy updates.Ensure appropriate customer disclosures and documentation are provided.Key Performance successful candidate should have experience in mortgage lending, home finance, retail banking, credit, underwriting, loan operations, or a closely related financial-services discipline.This role is suitable for an experienced mortgage professional who can combine commercial awareness with strong credit judgment, operational leadership, regulatory discipline, and customer focus.What You'll capabilities.Ability to work independently and effectively within a fully remote environment.Relevant degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.Professional banking, credit, risk, or mortgage qualifications are advantageous.Arabic language proficiency is advantageous.
