This is 100% onsite role in Fremont, CA 94538. Regular shift Mon-Fri.Role Focus: Chemical reaction modeling, reaction kinetics, reacting-flow CFD, species transport, and multiphysics coupling.Responsibilites:Support thermal, flow, structural, and chemical reaction simulations for design validation and optimization of semiconductor equipment, sub-systems, and components.Conduct detailed CFD/FEA and multiphysics analyses including heat transfer, fluid and gas flow dynamics, species transport, chemical reaction, stress, vibration, and manufacturability assessments.Develop physics-based chemical reaction, reaction kinetics, gas-phase chemistry, surface reaction, and species transport models.Perform reacting-flow CFD and multiphysics simulations involving coupled fluid flow, heat transfer, mass transfer, chemical kinetics, and material response.Develop, simplify, calibrate, and validate reaction mechanisms using experimental data, first-principles understanding, and process knowledge.Support simulation-driven development of process chambers, gas delivery systems, plasma-facing hardware, thermal management solutions, and advanced materials applications.Develop feasibility studies, test plans, and best-known methods to characterize and validate reaction-driven system performance.Prepare high-quality reports and technical presentations that clearly communicate model assumptions, validation results, process sensitivities, and design recommendations.Skills:Highly proficient in CFD and multiphysics simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, COMSOL, orequivalent tools.Solid background in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass transfer, thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, and numerical methods. Experience developing, implementing, and validating chemical reaction, reacting-flow, or species transport models.Experience with a variety of materials such as metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and/or advanced coatings.Experience with 3D design tools such as Siemens NX, ProE/Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD platforms.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong technical presentation capability.M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Plasma Physics, or a related field.
