The role focuses on database architecture, SQL development, performance optimization, data integrity, integration, and reliable data management.Key responsibilities include designing and developing MySQL databases, schemas, tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects; writing, testing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries; analyzing business and technical requirements and translating them into scalable database solutions; designing relational data models, normalization structures, relationships, constraints, and data-access strategies; performing query optimization, execution-plan analysis, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning; monitoring database performance, availability, storage, connections, resource utilization, and system health; developing data migration, transformation, synchronization, and integration processes; integrating MySQL databases with web applications, APIs, enterprise systems, cloud platforms, analytics tools, and third-party services; troubleshooting database errors, slow queries, connection issues, transaction problems, data inconsistencies, and application-database integration failures; implementing database security, authentication, authorization, encryption, access controls, and data-integrity measures; supporting backup, recovery, replication, high availability, and disaster-recovery processes; managing database upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, and modernization initiatives; developing automated database scripts, scheduled jobs, monitoring processes, and maintenance routines; collaborating with software developers, database administrators, data engineers, DevOps teams, system architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders; supporting production deployments, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, change management, and system maintenance; utilizing cloud database services, containerization, automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, monitoring tools, and modern development practices to improve database operations; supporting reporting, analytics, business intelligence, and data-processing initiatives; reviewing existing database environments and identifying opportunities for performance improvement, scalability, reliability, automation, and cost optimization; maintaining technical documentation, database specifications, data dictionaries, deployment procedures, and operational guidelines; ensuring solutions comply with security policies, development standards, data-governance requirements, and organizational procedures; and continuously improving database performance, maintainability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.Strong knowledge of MySQL, SQL, relational database concepts, and database development.Strong understanding of database design, normalization, relationships, constraints, transactions, indexes, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.Strong ability to write, analyze, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries.Knowledge of query execution plans, indexing strategies, partitioning, database optimization, and performance tuning.Familiarity with MySQL replication, backup and recovery, high availability, clustering, and disaster-recovery concepts is advantageous.Strong understanding of database security, authentication, authorization, encryption, access controls, and data integrity.Familiarity with PHP, Python, Java, JavaScript, Node.js, or other programming languages commonly integrated with MySQL is beneficial.Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, ETL processes, data migration, and application-database integration is advantageous.Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and managed MySQL services is beneficial.Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and database deployment automation is advantageous.Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, database automation, and cloud-native technologies is beneficial.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.Ability to translate technical and business requirements into scalable database architectures and efficient SQL solutions.Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to work effectively with developers, DBAs, data engineers, architects, QA teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.Strong understanding of software-development lifecycle, testing, deployment, version control, and production-support practices.High attention to data accuracy, security, performance, reliability, and code quality.MySQL, database, cloud, or relevant professional certifications are advantageous.Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about MySQL development, cloud databases, database automation, AI-assisted development, data engineering, and modern application technologies.
