About the roleYou teach nail technology theory and supervise students on the salon floor, preparing them for the Florida licensure exam and for work in a salon. What you'll doDeliver theory instruction following the approved program curriculumSupervise students performing services on clients on the salon floorDemonstrate manicuring, pedicuring, nail art, and tip, wrap, acrylic, gel, and dip application and removalTeach nail structure, disorders, and the contraindications that mean a client must be referred to a physicianEvaluate practical work and keep accurate records of hours, attendance, and progressPrepare students for the Florida state board examinationEnforce sanitation, chemical safety, ventilation, and professional conduct standardsContact students who miss class to understand why and help them get back on trackWhat we're looking forActive Florida Nail Specialist, Full Specialist, or cosmetology license in good standing — and any instructor credential Florida requires to teach in a licensed schoolAt least 2 years of professional nail experiencePatience and the ability to explain technique to students at very different skill levelsDependable attendance and professional presentationNice to havePrior teaching or mentoring experienceExperience with e-file and advanced enhancement techniquesBilingual English/SpanishCompensation: $23.00–$26.00 per hour To apply: Submit your resume through LinkedIn or email phannuel@academyofcareertraining.com.Academy of Career Training is an equal opportunity employer.
