Apply & track with Apply EdgeCompany Description COPE-Nano is a new Centre of Excellence for Organic, Printed Electronics and Nanotechnologies, built on the internationally recognized Nanotechnology Lab LTFN/AUTh in Thessaloniki, Greece. The Center focuses on flexible printed organic electronics, bioelectronics, and advanced nanomaterials for applications in green energy, electronics, ICT, medicine, and agriculture. COPE-Nano collaborates closely with leading institutions such as the University of Bordeaux (LCPO & ELORPrintTec) and the University of Cambridge to advance basic, applied, and industrial research. Supported by the Greek Government, the Center aims to expand the regional nanotechnology ecosystem and contribute to scientific, technological, and economic growth. Researchers joining COPE-Nano will work in an interdisciplinary environment with strong links to European innovation and industrial partners.Role Description The Nano Bio Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct experimental and theoretical research at the interface of nanotechnology, bioelectronics, and advanced materials, with a focus on applications in energy, health, and related fields. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and performing laboratory experiments, characterizing materials and devices, analyzing and interpreting data, and documenting results in reports and publications. The role involves collaborating with cross-disciplinary research teams, participating in joint projects with international partners, and contributing to grant proposals and project deliverables. The researcher may support teaching and mentoring activities for graduate and undergraduate students, including supervision in the lab and assistance with seminars. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Thessaloniki.Qualifications Strong laboratory skills in nanomaterials, bioelectronics, or related experimental techniques, including safe laboratory practices.Proven research experience in physics, materials science, chemistry, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field, with a focus on nano/bio interfaces.Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and relevant software tools for modeling, simulation, and visualization.Ability and willingness to contribute to teaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer activities within the lab and broader research community.Doctoral degree (PhD) in physics, materials science, nanotechnology, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline.Experience in project-based research, scientific writing, and publication in peer-reviewed journals.Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team, and effective written and oral communication skills in English.Familiarity with European research frameworks, collaboration with industrial partners, and interest in applications in green energy and digital transformation is an advantage.
