Location: Paris Area – Puteaux / Montigny-le-Bretonneux, FranceStart date: 7 January 2027Duration: 1 yearIndustry: Oil & Gas – Offshore / FPSOOffshore missions: YesAbout the roleCapefront Energies is looking for a Naval Engineer to join a major international Oil & Gas offshore development involving a new FPSO.The position will be based in the Paris area and will focus on Naval Engineering activities related to permanent mooring systems, covering engineering, equipment design and fabrication, integration and offshore installation.The Naval Engineer will work autonomously within a multidisciplinary engineering environment and interface with the different disciplines involved in the project.Main ResponsibilitiesPrepare Naval Engineering deliverables, including procedures, technical notes and reports.Perform engineering activities related to the design and fabrication of permanent mooring equipment.Support the integration of mooring equipment into the floating unit.Contribute to the preparation of offshore installation activities.Prepare technical documentation for purchase requisitions.Participate in the technical evaluation of supplier bids.Prepare technical documentation required for purchase orders.Coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines.Prepare project feedback and lessons learned documentation.Contribute to the development of the department's technical expertise.Candidate ProfileWe are looking for a confirmed engineer with experience in Naval Engineering within the Oil & Gas / offshore industry.Relevant experience may include:Naval Engineering / Naval ArchitectureFPSO, FSO, FLNG or other offshore floating unitsPermanent Mooring SystemsMooring equipment and anchoring systemsFloating systems / station keepingOffshore installation and integrationEngineering support to fabrication and procurementThe candidate must be comfortable working independently and producing technical engineering documentation within a multidisciplinary project environment.RequirementsRelevant experience in Naval Engineering within the Oil & Gas sectorStrong exposure to offshore floating units and/or mooring systemsProfessional proficiency in English, written and spokenAvailability for international and offshore missionsBOSIET + CA-EBS – OPITO certifiedMedical Fitness Certificate – OGUK certifiedThe offshore certifications are explicitly required by the project specification.
