College of Engineering in Chennai. The Naval Officer will oversee and coordinate naval-related training and activities, including planning and conducting drills, exercises, and educational sessions on naval operations and navigation. Responsibilities include mentoring students in naval discipline and leadership, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and supporting institutional events and programs related to defense and maritime awareness. The role also involves collaborating with academic and administrative teams to integrate naval and military perspectives into student development, maintaining documentation and reports, and representing the institution in relevant external engagements.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong expertise in Naval Operations and Navy procedures.Candidates should possess skills and experience in Military Operations and general Military protocols.Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Navigation and related maritime practices.Experience in training, mentoring, or leading cadets or student groups in a defense or maritime context.Ability to communicate clearly, maintain discipline, and uphold safety and ethical standards.Relevant military or naval academy background, or commissioned officer experience, is highly beneficial.Familiarity with Indian defense regulations and naval organizational structure is an advantage.Capacity to work collaboratively with faculty and administration and to engage effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
