Role InformationPosition Title: NDI Instructor Level 3Department: Training DepartmentReports to: Training DirectorDirect Reports: NA (Standalone Position)Job PurposeThe NDI Level 3 Instructor serves as the ultimate technical authority in Non-Destructive Inspection. This senior role is responsible for designing advanced NDI training programs, establishing and approving inspection procedures for aerospace and military applications, and mentoring Level 1 and Level 2 personnel. The instructor ensures the highest standards of structural integrity verification are upheld across all defense assets. for any of the following methods (VT, PT, MT, ET and UT).Job AccountabilitiesDesign, develop, and deliver advanced NDI training programs for non-qualified, Level 1 and Level 2 technicians operating within the aerospace and defense sectors.Establish, review, and formally approve comprehensive NDI written procedures and techniques for complex aerospace and military applications.Act as the primary mentor, technical authority, and certifying official for lower-level NDI technicians within the academy.Provide expert technical consultation on material flaw characterization, inspection methodology selection, and quality assurance for defense manufacturing and maintenance operations.Develop and maintain the academy's NDI qualification and certification.Liaise with defense industry partners, regulatory bodies, and GACA to ensure training programs remain current and compliant.QualificationsDiploma in Engineering or a related field is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferredExperience: Extensive senior-level military or aerospace industry experience managing comprehensive NDI programs and performing highly advanced multi-method inspections, including proven experience in developing NDI written procedures and training curricula for aerospace applications. Military or Aerospace Experience is a plusCertifications: The instructor must hold a valid Level 3 qualification (multiple methods)Fluency in English language
