Network Administrator

A UAE Holding Company based in Abu Dhabi is hiring a Network Administrator for a newly created position, working closely with the IT Director. You’ll be hands-on across network availability, user support, access control, backups, and documentation — supporting around 150 users.We’re looking for someone practical and proactive: you prevent downtime, keep systems tidy, and can explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues.Location: Abu Dhabi (on-site) Salary: AED 6,500 – 7,000 (for the right candidate) What you’ll be doingInstall, configure, and support LAN/WAN/Internet connectivity and network equipmentMonitor network health and perform maintenance to ensure high availability for all usersBuild proactive preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and hardware faultsProvision hardware/software in line with internal business and security policiesMaintain servers and associated services/settings; support storage/file system upgrades safelyCreate and manage network users/permissions and access controlsImplement and manage backup + disaster recovery, protecting data integrity and redundancyEvaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgradesTest releases/changes to ensure compatibility and minimise user disruptionProduce clear technical documentation for systems, fixes, and support processesMust-haves / preferredHands-on VMware experience (must-have) (ESXi / vSphere strongly preferred)Microsoft 365 administrationCCTV experienceExperience supporting ~150 usersBachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering / Computer ScienceMinimum 2 years UAE experience as a Network AdministratorMinimum 4 years overall networking experienceCisco switches/routers preferredCertifications a plus: MCSE / CISSP / CCNA / CCNPKeywords: VMware, ESXi, vSphere, Microsoft 365 Admin, LAN/WAN, Network Support, Server Administration, Access Control, User Permissions, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Preventive Maintenance, CCTV, Security Hardening, Documentation, Troubleshooting
