We specialize in technology for restaurants and hospitality businesses throughout Northwest Florida. Our projects go well beyond pulling cable. We design and install commercial networks, Wi-Fi, audio systems, surveillance, POS infrastructure, VoIP, and sophisticated audio/video and TV control systems.We're looking for someone who already has a solid foundation in computer networking and wants the opportunity to expand their skills into other commercial technologies.WHAT YOU'LL DO• Install, terminate, test and troubleshoot Cat6/network cabling• Install and configure network switches, routers, access points and related equipment• Build and dress network racks• Troubleshoot wired and wireless networks• Install access points, cameras, TVs and other low-voltage equipment• Work with Ubiquiti/UniFi networking and surveillance systems• Assist with commercial audio and AV-over-IP installations• Work directly with restaurant owners, managers and other customers• Lead or assist other technicians on larger projects• Document installations and follow established system designs• Help identify additional technology needs we may be able to solve for our customersWHO WE'RE LOOKING FORYou don't need to know every product we install. We can teach products. We're looking for someone who already understands networking and knows how to troubleshoot.A strong candidate should understand:• TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS• Subnets and gateways• Managed switches• VLANs• Wi-Fi and wireless access points• PoE• Basic network troubleshooting• Structured cabling and cable testingExperience with Ubiquiti/UniFi is a major plus.Experience with commercial AV, surveillance, VoIP, POS systems, audio systems or HDMI/video distribution is also valuable, but not required.THIS IS A HANDS-ON JOBThis is not a desk position. You'll work on ladders, pull cable, mount equipment, build racks and troubleshoot systems in real customer environments. Candidates should be comfortable working from ladders up to approximately 18 feet and able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.Most work is Monday-Friday during normal business hours, although some projects require occasional early mornings, evenings, overnight work or weekends to accommodate our restaurant customers.COMPENSATION$25-$30/hour, based on demonstrated experience and technical ability.Technicians who identify opportunities that result in sales of eligible services such as Internet, VoIP/phone and other services can earn additional commission or recurring residual compensation in addition to their regular pay.For someone with the right mindset, this position has income potential beyond the hourly rate.We want someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, communicates professionally with customers, and - most importantly - knows when to solve a problem and when to ask a question before creating a bigger one.HOW TO APPLYSend us your resume along with a short description of your networking experience and the types of systems you've worked with.
