The role ensures reliable, secure, high-performance connectivity across LAN, WAN, wireless, data center, cloud, and enterprise network environments while maintaining network availability, performance, and compliance with IT standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, configure, and maintain network infrastructure and connectivity solutions.Install, configure, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs, and network appliances.Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, reliability, and security using network-management tools.Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless, and performance-related issues.Manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and enterprise network environments.Configure and maintain VLANs, IP addressing, subnetting, routing protocols, network segmentation, and access controls.Implement network security policies, firewall rules, VPN solutions, authentication controls, and secure connectivity.Perform network upgrades, migrations, maintenance, configuration changes, and infrastructure improvements.Analyze network performance and identify potential capacity, reliability, availability, and security issues.Respond to network incidents, outages, service disruptions, and connectivity problems and implement corrective actions.Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, asset records, technical documentation, and operating procedures.Coordinate with system administrators, cybersecurity teams, cloud engineers, vendors, service providers, and other IT departments.Support data-center, cloud, hybrid, remote-access, and branch-office networking environments where applicable.Configure and maintain network monitoring, logging, alerting, diagnostic, and performance-management tools.Assist with network architecture planning, technology evaluations, infrastructure projects, and capacity planning.Perform network-device configuration backups, recovery procedures, change management, and version control.Support vulnerability assessments, network security reviews, audits, and compliance requirements.Manage network equipment lifecycle, hardware replacement, maintenance contracts, and vendor coordination.Provide technical support and guidance to IT teams and end users regarding network connectivity and infrastructure issues.Maintain confidentiality and security of network configurations, credentials, infrastructure information, and organizational data.QualificationsBachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field.Previous experience in network engineering, network administration, IT infrastructure, or IT operations is preferred.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and network security principles.Experience with enterprise networking technologies, monitoring platforms, and network-management tools.Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or other enterprise networking technologies is advantageous.Knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP is beneficial.Understanding of cloud networking, virtualization, SD-WAN, wireless networking, and hybrid infrastructure is advantageous.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple technical issues and projects.Strong communication, teamwork, coordination, and technical documentation skills.Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, Fortinet, or equivalent are advantageous.Proficiency with network monitoring, ticketing, configuration-management, and IT service-management systems.Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to network incidents and service outages.Professional, reliable, proactive, security-conscious, and technically detail-oriented.Strong commitment to network reliability, cybersecurity, performance, availability, technical accuracy, infrastructure resilience, and continuous improvement.
