Network Engineer

About the Role

We're hiring a Network Engineer Tier 2 to handle complex troubleshooting, lead medium-scale network projects, and serve as the primary escalation point for our NOC and Tier 1 teams. You'll independently resolve chronic performance issues across global LAN, WAN, and security infrastructure, and work alongside Tier 3 engineers to validate design work.

What You'll Do

Troubleshoot at depth. Diagnose and resolve critical and chronic network issues using packet capture, flow analysis, and protocol-level inspection. Drive Problem Management investigations to permanent fixes.Lead projects. Own site turn-ups, technology migrations, and major firmware upgrades end to end, including implementation, test, and rollback planning.Support the team. Act as technical escalation for Tier 1 and NOC analysts, mentor junior engineers, and maintain runbooks and documentation.Validate designs. Review low-level design specs with Tier 3 engineers for feasibility and operational supportability.Implement security. Manage firewall policy, site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, and IPS tuning.Execute changes safely. Author and run changes under ITIL v4 Change Management with proper impact assessment.What You'll Need:3–5 years of progressive experience as a Network Engineer or senior technical specialistBachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experienceOne current industry certification: CCNA, Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP), or JNCIA-JunosExpert-level knowledge of BGP and EIGRPAdvanced switching: HSRP/VRRP, spanning tree, complex QoSFirewall configuration and policy managementDeep proficiency with Wireshark and network performance monitoring (NPM) platformsWorking Python or Bash scripting for network automationSolid grasp of ITIL v4 Change, Incident, and Problem ManagementNice to Have:CCNP (Enterprise or Security) · ITIL v4 Foundation · Ansible, Netmiko, or NAPALM · SD-WAN or cloud networking (AWS/Azure) · global multi-site experience
