Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus, APIC, Application Network Profiles (ANPs), DMVPN, SD-WAN, VMware NSX-T, and enterprise routing and switching is required.You will work with senior network engineers, infrastructure and security teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure network services remain secure, resilient, highly available, and performant.Experience supporting critical production and data centre environments is highly desirable, particularly in banking or financial services.Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise & Data Centre NetworkingConfigure, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise and data centre network infrastructure.Support highly available and business-critical environments.Configure and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus switches and data centre technologies.Support Cisco ACI, including APIC, ANPs, tenants, endpoint groups, bridge domains, contracts, and endpoint connectivity.Perform network configurations, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure changes.Maintain network availability, performance, security, and reliability.Support hardware installations, replacements, upgrades, and decommissioning.Work with infrastructure, server, virtualisation, and data centre teams on physical and virtual connectivity.Assist with capacity planning and infrastructure improvements.Routing, Switching & WANConfigure and troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching environments.Work with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routing.Troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, STP, EtherChannel, VRF, ARP, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP.Analyse routing tables, network paths, traffic flows, and connectivity issues.Support network segmentation, redundancy, and high-availability architectures.Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot DMVPN and enterprise WAN connectivity.Support implementation and maintenance of SD-WAN solutions.Troubleshoot WAN routing, tunnels, latency, packet loss, and service-provider issues.Network VirtualisationSupport VMware NSX-T and network virtualisation environments.Troubleshoot virtual networking, overlay networks, and physical-to-virtual connectivity.Support network segmentation and security policies in virtualised environments.Work with server, cloud, and virtualisation teams to resolve network issues.Dell & HP NetworkingConfigure, manage, and troubleshoot Dell and HP network switches.Perform switch configuration, VLAN management, routing, and connectivity troubleshooting.Support hardware upgrades, replacements, migrations, and interoperability issues.Maintain accurate configurations and network documentation.Monitoring & TroubleshootingMonitor network infrastructure and respond to alerts, incidents, and performance issues.Diagnose complex network connectivity and performance problems.Use Wireshark, packet captures, logs, routing information, interface statistics, and network telemetry for troubleshooting.Perform packet-level analysis and identify root causes of recurring incidents.Escalate complex issues to senior engineering teams, vendors, or technology partners.Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.Production & Data Centre SupportProvide technical support for critical production and data centre network environments.Participate in planned maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery activities.Respond to high-priority network incidents and service disruptions.Implement changes in accordance with change management procedures.Participate in critical incident response and troubleshooting.Participate in on-call or after-hours support when required.Ensure network changes minimise operational and customer impact.Documentation & ComplianceMaintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, IP addressing information, and technical documentation.Document network changes, incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.Maintain operational procedures and knowledge-base documentation.Follow security, access control, compliance, and change management policies.Support network audits and maintain accurate records of devices, connections, and infrastructure dependencies.Essential Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Networking, or a related field.8+ years of experience in enterprise networking, data centre networking, or a similar network engineering environment.Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus, APIC, and ANP.Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching.Experience with DMVPN and SD-WAN.Hands-on experience with Dell and HP switches.Experience with VMware NSX-T and network virtualisation.Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network protocols.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.Proficiency with Wireshark and network troubleshooting tools.Experience supporting critical production and/or data centre environments.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical engineering team.Willingness to participate in maintenance windows, on-call support, or after-hours
