Network Infrastructure Engineer

SDN & SDS Network/Storage EngineerOverviewTangent International is seeking an experienced SDN & SDS Network/Storage Engineer to manage and operate software-defined networking, enterprise networking and software-defined storage infrastructure supporting business-critical BSS applications.The role requires strong hands-on experience across SDN, enterprise LAN/WAN, network security and SDS technologies, ideally within a telecoms or similarly complex enterprise environment.ResponsibilitiesAdminister SDN environments including Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T, OpenDaylight or equivalent platforms.Manage enterprise LAN switching and WAN routing infrastructure.Configure and support firewalls including Palo Alto, Fortinet and Juniper.Administer load-balancing technologies including F5 and Nginx.Manage SDS platforms including Ceph, ScaleIO/PowerFlex or equivalent.Configure VLANs, BGP, OSPF and network segmentation.Manage firewall policies, ACLs, NAT and VPN configurations.Monitor network bandwidth, latency, packet loss, availability, capacity and storage I/O.Troubleshoot L2 network and storage incidents.Perform network and storage capacity planning.Support disaster recovery and failover testing.Maintain network topology diagrams and storage documentation.Coordinate complex incident resolution and firmware upgrades with L3 teams and vendors.Execute infrastructure changes in accordance with Change Management processes.Support OpenStack networking and storage components including Neutron, Cinder and Manila.Use Ansible for network configuration and storage provisioning automation.Required Skills5–8 years' experience in IT network and storage administration.Strong SDN knowledge, ideally Cisco ACI, VMware NSX-T or equivalent.Enterprise networking experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista and/or HP equipment.Experience with Ceph, ScaleIO/PowerFlex or equivalent SDS technologies.Strong understanding of VLANs, BGP and OSPF.Network security knowledge covering firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs and segmentation.Understanding of storage protocols including FC, iSCSI, NFS and S3.Strong troubleshooting capability across network and storage infrastructure.Good written and spoken English.Nice-to-Have SkillsTelecoms/BSS infrastructure experience.OpenStack Neutron, Cinder and Manila.Ansible network/storage automation.ELK-based monitoring.Active Directory-integrated network authentication.IAM/PAM security tooling.Commvault backup and storage integration.CCNP or equivalent networking certification.Why Apply?This is an opportunity to work across a broad infrastructure stack supporting business-critical BSS workloads, combining SDN, enterprise networking, security, software-defined storage, OpenStack and automation technologies.How to ApplyIf your experience matches the requirements, please apply with an up-to-date CV highlighting your SDN, networking, storage and relevant telecoms/BSS experience.
