Network Security Engineer – L3DXC Technology | United Arab Emirates | On-site - Senior Analyst IFunction: Cyber Security – Managed Detection & ResponseJob SummaryDXC Technology is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer – L3 to engineer, administer, optimize, and provide advanced support for enterprise network security technologies within a complex cybersecurity environment in the UAE.The role requires strong hands-on expertise across firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, network segmentation, secure connectivity, web security, network threat prevention, and security platform integrations, with responsibility for L3 troubleshooting and supporting SOC/MDR operations.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineer, configure, administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise network security platforms.Manage Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), IDS/IPS, VPN, secure remote access, network segmentation, and security policies.Configure and troubleshoot firewall policies, NAT, routing, security zones, objects, application controls, and threat prevention profiles.Support WAF, secure web gateway/proxy, DNS security, network access control (NAC), and network security technologies as applicable.Design and implement secure network segmentation and access controls based on least privilege and Zero Trust principles.Manage site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, encrypted connectivity, and secure network communications.Perform advanced L3 troubleshooting across firewall, routing, VPN, connectivity, policy, and security integration issues.Integrate network security technologies with SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence, IAM, EDR/XDR, and other security platforms.Support SOC/MDR teams during investigations involving network threats, suspicious traffic, intrusion attempts, lateral movement, and security incidents.Review and optimize security policies, rules, and configurations to improve protection and reduce unnecessary exposure.Support platform upgrades, migrations, high-availability configurations, health monitoring, and performance optimization.Maintain technical documentation covering configurations, policies, network security architecture, integrations, and operational procedures.Required Experience6+ years of cybersecurity/network security experience, including strong hands-on network security engineering and administration.Strong experience with enterprise firewall technologies such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet FortiGate, Check Point, Cisco Firepower/FTD, or equivalent.Hands-on experience with NGFW, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAT, network segmentation, security policies, and threat prevention.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, network protocols, and network security architecture.Experience troubleshooting complex firewall, VPN, routing, connectivity, and security policy issues.Experience integrating network security technologies with enterprise monitoring and cybersecurity platforms.Understanding of Zero Trust, least privilege, defense-in-depth, SOC/MDR operations, incident response, and MITRE ATT&CK.Experience with high-availability and resilient network security environments.Scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, APIs, or equivalent is advantageous.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Network Engineering, IT, or related discipline.Experience with WAF, NAC, secure web gateway/proxy, DNS security, or cloud network security.Experience supporting large enterprise SOC/MDR or managed security environments.UAE/GCC experience is advantageous.Certifications such as PCNSE, NSE/FCP/FCSS, CCNP Security, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, CISSP, Security+, or equivalent are preferred.Join DXC Technology and contribute to strengthening enterprise network security, resilience, and threat protection capabilities in the UAE.
