Abu Dhabi Aviation is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join our IT team in Abu Dhabi.The role will support the day-to-day operation, monitoring, maintenance and incident response of our network security infrastructure, working closely with the Senior Network Security Engineer and wider IT and Network Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to security events across firewalls, SIEM, WAF, IPS/IDS, DLP, EDR and endpoint security solutions.Analyse network traffic, security logs and alerts to identify threats, anomalies and potential incidents.Configure, troubleshoot and maintain Next-Generation Firewalls such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet or equivalent.Support firewall rules, access controls and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.Monitor DNS, email and web security and support the mitigation of security threats.Support vulnerability scanning, assessment, remediation tracking and reporting.Support network security across Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud environments.Assist with security incident investigations, evidence gathering and post-incident activities.Support SD-WAN, voice gateway, telephony and IP phone infrastructure from a network security perspective.Maintain security documentation, licences, inventory and lifecycle records.Prepare periodic reports covering security incidents, vulnerabilities, monitoring activities and compliance.Ensure alignment with ADA Information Security policies and applicable GCAA, EASA, ICAO and ISO 27001 requirements.Ideal candidate will have:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security or a related discipline.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in network security, cybersecurity, security monitoring, incident response or a related field.Hands-on experience with firewalls, IPS/IDS, DLP, EDR and endpoint security solutions.Practical knowledge of SIEM, network monitoring and security analysis tools.Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, VPN, SSL and network architecture.Experience with DNS security, email security and web application security.Exposure to vulnerability assessment, remediation and security incident response.Working knowledge of cloud security across Azure, AWS or Oracle Cloud.Completed CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent recognised cybersecurity/network security certification.Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet or other NGFW platforms is desirable.Experience with Rapid7, LogRhythm, QRadar, Nessus or similar security platforms is an advantage.SOC/Security Operations Centre experience is desirable.Knowledge of threat intelligence, IoCs and security investigations is an advantage.Scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Bash or Python is desirable.Aviation or aerospace industry experience is an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proactive approach to continuous learning and keeping up with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
