The Network & Cloud Cybersecurity Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day network security operations, ensuring that the organization's network infrastructure is protected from cyber threats. This role includes monitoring, detecting, and responding to network security incidents, leading a team of network security professionals, and implementing security policies and controls to safeguard the network. This role includes monitoring, detecting, and responding to network security incidents, leading a team of network security professionals, and implementing security policies and controls to safeguard the network. The Lead will work closely with the broader cybersecurity and IT teams to maintain network resilience, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.*Key Responsibilities of RoleNetwork & Cloud Cybersecurity LeadNetwork Security Monitoring and Incident Response:Oversee 24/7 network monitoring to detect security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.Lead the investigation and response to network security incidents, ensuring timely detection, containment, and remediation of issues.Develop and manage incident response protocols specific to network security incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams for resolution.Network Security Tools and Technologies Management:Oversee the configuration and management of network security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, network monitoring platforms).Ensure the technologies 100 percent uptime for business continuityEnsure network security technologies are properly tuned, updated, and optimized to detect and prevent security incidents.Implementation of new security technologies and featuresVulnerability Management and Risk Mitigation:Conduct vulnerability assessments and network penetration tests to identify security gaps within the network infrastructure.Lead efforts to remediate vulnerabilities by working with IT teams to apply patches and updates to network devices and systems.Manage risk assessments for network infrastructure and collaborate with other cybersecurity teams to implement mitigation measures.Compliance and Policy Enforcement:Ensure that network security operations comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal security policies.Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and evidence for network security controls.Enforce security policies across the network infrastructure, ensuring access controls, network segmentation, and secure configurations.Cloud Threat Detection & Incident Response:Manage cloud-native security tools (e.g., CSPM CNAPP) to monitor, detect, and mitigate cloud-based threats.Oversee the investigation and remediation of cloud security incidents, ensuring effective incident response and forensic analysis.Collaborate with SOC teams to fine-tune detection rules, automate security monitoring, and enhance visibility across cloud environments.Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:Work closely with the broader IT and cybersecurity teams to integrate network security measures with other organizational security initiatives.Collaborate with application security, cloud security, and endpoint security teams to ensure a holistic security approach across the organization.Communicate network security posture and risks to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.Continuous Improvement and Innovation:Stay updated on the latest network security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, recommending improvements to security measures as needed.Continuously evaluate and improve the network security operations, ensuring the environment adapts to emerging cyber threats.Lead initiatives for automating network security monitoring and response to enhance operational efficiency.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for network security configurations, incidents, and processes.Ensure all procees related documents are updated on timely basis.Provide regular reports to senior leadership on the status of network security operations, incidents, and risks.Track and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of network security operations.Team Leadership and Development:Lead and mentor a team of network security analysts, providing guidance on network security best practices and incident response techniques.Develop training programs to ensure team members are equipped with the latest knowledge of network security technologies, threats, and methodologies.Perform regular performance reviews and assist in career development for team members.C13Key Stakeholders -
