Network Support Specialist IILocation: Washington, DCPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced AV/VTC Technician to provide front-end audiovisual and video teleconferencing (AV/VTC) support. This role ensures reliable operation of meeting and event technologies, maintaining readiness of conference rooms, auditoriums, and multipurpose rooms while resolving user issues quickly and professionally. In alignment with Performance Work Statement (PWS) AV/VTC requirements, the technician supports Webex and Microsoft Teams collaboration services, live event execution, and post-production editing, and delivers user training and documentation to improve adoption, reduce recurring incidents, and sustain service quality.Key ResponsibilitiesAV/VTC Room Operations• Proactively inspect, configure, and maintain AV/VTC equipment in meeting rooms, auditoriums, and multipurpose rooms• Manage deployment, setup, and relocation of AV/VTC components to support operational and event requirements• Troubleshoot front-end AV/VTC hardware and software issues and restore services with minimal disruption• Perform routine readiness checks to ensure monitors, microphones, conference phones, and related room systems remain fully operationalCollaboration Platform Support• Provide user-facing support for collaboration tools, including Webex and Microsoft Teams• Field and resolve user questions on AV/VTC usage, meeting startup, content sharing, and audio/video performance• Support conference and hybrid meeting connectivity and coordinate escalations for unresolved issues• Communicate service updates and usage guidance to end users to improve collaboration outcomesLive Event and Broadcast Support• Support production of live events, including town halls, commission meetings, and other high-visibility sessions• Execute live video/audio support activities and assist with webcast or streaming operations• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and third-party providers for services such as captioning and interpretation support• Perform post-production editing for recorded events and deliver high-quality final media outputsTraining and Documentation• Conduct training sessions on the selection, use, and design of audiovisual materials and presentation equipment• Develop manuals, workbooks, and user-facing reference materials to support AV/VTC operations• Create practical job aids for common room technologies and collaboration workflows• Capture recurring issues and recommend process improvements to strengthen AV/VTC service deliveryRequired Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering)• Minimum of 5 years of experience providing front-end AV/VTC support in enterprise or government environments• Hands-on experience managing, deploying, and troubleshooting AV/VTC equipment• Demonstrated skills and knowledge to operate AV/VTC systems, including live broadcasts and post-production editing• AV/VTC system operation and troubleshooting across conference rooms, auditoriums, and multipurpose spaces• Webex and Microsoft Teams support for meetings and collaboration• Live broadcast, streaming/webcast support, and post-production video editing• End-user training delivery and development of manuals, texts, and workbooks• Preventive AV equipment management, issue triage, and service restoration• Must meet contract citizenship/work authorization requirements• Must be a U.S. Citizen (dual citizenship not permitted)• Must be able to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust clearance (or higher, if required)Preferred Qualifications• Experience supporting federal agency executive events, hearings, or public-facing broadcast sessions• AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification (CTS-I or CTS-D preferred)• Experience coordinating live captioning and sign-language interpretation support• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) / ticketing workflows (e.g., ServiceNow) and SLA-driven support in PWS-aligned environments• Experience with AV refresh, upgrade, and modernization efforts in secured environments• Dante Level 1 or Level 2 certification when supporting Dante-based audio transport environmentsTechnical SkillsAV/VTC Systems• AV/VTC equipment inspection, configuration, deployment, and maintenance• Conference room, auditorium, and multipurpose room systems• Monitors, microphones, and conference phonesCollaboration Platforms• Webex• Microsoft TeamsLive Event & Broadcast• Live video/audio support• Webcast/streaming operations• Post-production video editing• Captioning and interpretation coordinationTraining & Documentation• End-user training delivery• Manual and workbook development• Job aid creationTools & Platforms (Preferred)• ServiceNow (ITSM/ticketing)• Dante audio transportCertifications (Preferred)• AVIXA CTS• CTS-I• CTS-D## Education & Certifications### Required• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering)### Preferred• AVIXA CTS certification (CTS-I or CTS-D)## Experience### Required Experience• Minimum of 5 years of experience providing front-end AV/VTC support in enterprise or government environments## Additional Requirements• Must be a U.S. Citizen;
