Network Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Work as a Network Support Engineer operating within a 24x7x365 environment, handling customer calls and providing first-level technical support.Capture and address customers’ technical claims and requests and resolve network-related issues.Maintain, configure, and support the VTEL access network.Keep technical tickets updated and properly registered in the ticketing system.Perform day-to-day network performance monitoring.Follow up on customers’ requests through field visits when required.Perform troubleshooting and fault analysis of the VTEL access network.Perform fiber network planning and troubleshooting for the VTEL fiber network.Provide technical support for all network-related issues, including support to other technical sections.Configure and install all types of network equipment (routers, switches, etc.) at customer and company sites.Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.Monitor system quality indicators.

Requirements

Good experience in IP protocols and network performance.Good knowledge of IP filtering, routing protocols, MPLS, VLANs, QinQ, etc.Good knowledge of Huawei OLT and GPON technologies is preferred.1-3 years of relevant experience.Cisco CCNA certification is preferred.Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any related field.A valid driving license is required.
