Network Support Engineer

About the RoleAre you a recent graduate, career changer, or someone looking to start a career in Network Support?We are looking for motivated individuals to begin their career in an Entry-Level Network Support Engineer environment. You do not need previous professional networking experience. What matters is your interest in networking, willingness to learn, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.You will support IT and network teams with monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration, and day-to-day network operations while developing practical experience with network infrastructure and technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with monitoring network performance and availability.Troubleshoot basic network connectivity and access issues.Support the configuration and maintenance of network devices.Assist with routers, switches, wireless access points, and related equipment.Investigate and resolve basic network incidents.Support IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and network connectivity.Log, update, and resolve network-related tickets.Escalate complex network issues to senior engineers when required.Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration records.Assist with network security and access control activities.Follow IT security, change management, and network support procedures.Skills & KnowledgeYou don't need professional networking experience, but an interest in networking and basic understanding of areas such as:Networking fundamentalsTCP/IP and OSI modelIP addressing and subnettingDNS and DHCPRouters and switchesLAN and WAN conceptsWi-Fi and wireless networkingNetwork troubleshootingFirewalls and network security fundamentalsVPN fundamentalsNetwork monitoring and ticketing systemsEducationA degree in Computer Networking, Network Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline can be helpful, but relevant technical knowledge and a willingness to learn may also be considered.Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
