Network Technician

Job Role: Network TechnicianLocation: Burlington, NJ and Edgewater Park, NJScope of Work:The Field Network Technician will provide hands-on onsite support for wired network and managed equipment.The technician must have basic networking skills and be capable of directly accessing network devices through console connections to troubleshoot and restore service.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot wired network connectivity and equipment issues.Console into switches, routers, and other managed devices.Perform routine programming and configuration tasks.Troubleshoot Ethernet, CAT5/CAT6 cabling, ports, and connections.Test network cables using CAT5/CAT6 cable testers.Perform basic hardware and physical-layer troubleshooting.Reconnect, replace, or troubleshoot network cables and equipment as required.Work with remote network engineers to diagnose and restore service.Provide onsite status updates and document work performed.Follow client procedures, security requirements, and engineering instructions.
