Job SummaryThe Technical Trainer - Network Data, Network Security & Network Voice will deliver structured, hands-on training for new recruits and early-career professionals selected for HCL roles. The trainer will cover core networking, security, collaboration/voice technologies, troubleshooting methods, lab-based learning, assessments, and technology best practices aligned to enterprise network operations.Purpose of the RoleSupport HCL training programs by enabling learners to build employable skills across network administration, network data, network security, and network voice domains.Develop and deliver practical training using labs, simulations, real-world scenarios, and guided troubleshooting exercises.Assess learner readiness through quizzes, hands-on labs, technical viva, project work, and feedback-driven improvement plans.Collaborate with technical teams, program owners, and delivery stakeholders to align curriculum outcomes with business needs.Required Experience & QualificationOverall experience: 7 to 10 years maximum in networking / network operations / network security / voice technologies / technical training.Relevant practitioner experience should include enterprise networking, network security operations, voice or unified communications technologies, and hands-on troubleshooting.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Networking, or a related discipline is preferred.Mandatory: certification in at least one relevant networking/security/voice area such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cyber Security, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco Collaboration, or equivalent.Core Technical ExpertiseKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver instructor-led, virtual, hybrid, and lab-based sessions on network data, network security and network voice topics.Create and maintain courseware, presentations, lab manuals, assignments, assessments and remediation plans.Design hands-on labs using network simulation, emulation and virtualization platforms for real-world practice.Conduct technical evaluations, provide structured feedback, and report learner progress to program stakeholders.Guide learners on troubleshooting methodology, root-cause analysis, documentation discipline and operational best practices.Stay current with evolving enterprise networking, security and collaboration technologies and incorporate relevant updates into training delivery.Work with technical teams to validate lab environments, troubleshoot learner issues, and continuously improve training effectiveness.Training Delivery CompetenciesStrong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for mixed-proficiency learner groups.Ability to create scenario-based activities, demonstrations, troubleshooting labs and capstone projects.Experience in training service delivery environments and understanding of ITSM service delivery concepts is desirable.Capability to influence stakeholders, collect feedback, and improve curriculum quality and learner outcomes.Good command of English language for classroom facilitation, learner feedback and documentation.Tools & Lab ExposureDesirable SkillsExposure to cloud networking concepts across Azure, AWS or GCP is an advantage.Awareness of automation, infrastructure-as-code and scripting for network operations is desirable.Prior experience mentoring new recruits, graduate hires, or lateral associates in a structured training program is preferred.Experience in designing competency-based assessments, rubrics and lab evaluation sheets is an added advantage.Expected OutcomesLearners should be able to explain and configure core network data concepts and troubleshoot common enterprise network issues.Learners should understand network security principles, secure configuration practices and incident-aware troubleshooting.Learners should demonstrate working knowledge of network voice fundamentals, call flow troubleshooting and QoS considerations.Training delivery should improve learner readiness for project deployment, certification pathways and role-based technical interviews.
