NeuroSurgeon with DOH

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon to join our multidisciplinary team in the UAE. The successful candidate will diagnose, treat, and surgically manage disorders affecting the brain, spine, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system. The Consultant Neurosurgeon will provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, elective, and emergency neurosurgical care while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditionsPerform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures involving the brain, spine, spinal cord, and peripheral nervesManage conditions including brain tumors, traumatic brain injuries, spinal disorders, intracranial hemorrhage, aneurysms, hydrocephalus, degenerative spine diseases, congenital abnormalities, and peripheral nerve disordersInterpret diagnostic investigations including MRI, CT scans, cerebral angiography, and neurophysiological studiesConduct outpatient consultations and provide comprehensive inpatient careParticipate in trauma and emergency neurosurgical services, including on-call rotationsDevelop individualized treatment plans and oversee postoperative care and rehabilitationCollaborate with neurologists, orthopedic spine surgeons, intensivists, radiologists, oncologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other multidisciplinary teamsMaintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standardsEducate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical procedures, expected outcomes, and preventive careParticipate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality meetings, and continuing medical education (CME)Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents, fellows, and allied healthcare professionalsEnsure compliance with UAE healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, and international clinical standardsRequirementsQualificationsMBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institutionMS/DNB in General Surgery or equivalentMCh/DNB/Fellowship/CCT/Board Certification in NeurosurgeryEligibility for or possession of a valid DOH Consultant licenseMinimum 8-10 years of post-specialty experience, including experience as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in a tertiary care hospitalFellowship training in Spine Surgery, Skull Base Surgery, Neuro-oncology, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Vascular Neurosurgery, or Functional Neurosurgery is an advantageRequired SkillsExpertise in advanced cranial and spinal neurosurgical proceduresStrong microsurgical and minimally invasive surgical skillsExcellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilitiesAbility to manage complex trauma and emergency neurosurgical casesExcellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skillsCommitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practiceProficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systemsBenefitsPrivate Health InsurancePaid Time OffTraining & DevelopmentPerformance BonusOur team will provide complete assistance throughout the process, including: Licensing guidance and application support Credential verification, DataFlow, and documentation assistance Guidance for exam scheduling and registration procedures Relocation support across the Middle East Smooth onboarding coordination with the clinic / hospital Dedicated support until all joining formalities are completed
